This is a character design I made for my friend and I thought it would be pretty badass to base him off ancient Celtic mythology.
Dave Wolf comes from a secret Celtic civilization hidden away from the rest of society for thousands of years. He is the rightful prince of his people, the Nexians, and the defender of his kingdom in which grants him the title as the Wolfblade. The Kingdom of Nexus is not only exclusively European Celtic but also very multicultural with ethnic groups who joined this Celtic tribe (the Nexians) as the Celts are known to be quite nomadic with many cultures with Greek, Mesopotamian, Egyptian, and many other North African and West Asian influences and trade throughout the Mediterranean. The Kingdom of Nexus is truly a remarkable civilization full of many rich and diverse cultures.
The wolf logo is an ancient religious and cultural symbol that represents the true, one above all, divine: what his people refer to as the Nexus of the Universe. Wolf Blade is a real badass when it comes to combat and he's clearly not some pushover as he's known to go face to face with powerful gods and titans that can level a mountain just by punching it. He wears an advanced armor that holds mystic energy within it and so does his sword: Freedom Bringer, an unstoppable sword that only lets those who are truly worthy wield it properly with a blade that capable destroying almost anything imaginable. Wolf Blade also has incredible strength and speed with an enhanced sense of smell (kind of like a wolf). He even has reflexes that can trigger at the speed of light. Wolf Blade is the fearless hero who defends his kingdom, the world, and beyond
-I added some historically cultural elements to Wolfblade such as the swirls on his belt and the trinity necklace that are Celtic symbols. The wolf logo on his stomach/chest is the insignia of the Wolfblade: a symbol highly feared by his enemies and the doers of evil.

I grew quite interested of the Celts and their ancient history. In fact, the Turks actually somewhat originated from the Celts. The Celts are quite a fascinating group of people and considering their geographical location, they've been quite a nomadic people as they have traveled all the way to the south of Ancient Greece where they had influence in the Mediterranean such as the Turks to the north of Ireland.

Btw, perhaps we can discuss the lore of Wolfblade even more to further develop your character and his universe (Also let me know if I got anything inaccurate or if you prefer to change a lore element)
So we know that he's the prince of an ancient secret Celtic kingdom known as the Kingdom of Nexus that has lasted for thousands of years from the rest of the world. (Historically) The Celts are a nomadic tribe that had many cultural influences from the north of Ireland to the South of Greece and Turkey with trade throughout the Mediterranean.
The Nexians are a Celtic group known for trading (they take the name of "Nexian" when the Nexus religion is formed). The Nexians also have traders from Northern Africa (such as Egypt) and from West Asia (such as Mesopotamia) (yes the Celts historically did have West Asian influence such as the Turkish region) and maybe even somewhat from the China region (such as also Japan and Indonesia) (the Chinese were excellent traders btw).
So all this diverse multicultural aspects will greatly leave the Nexians with a very wealthy and rich culture. They can have their tombs decorated like Egyptian tombs for example or have temples that look similar to Chinese architecture where they train monks with badass katanas or skulpt votive statues for religious and ceremonial purposes like the Greeks and Mesopotamians did. And the fact that they give underground actually has significance to ancient Turkish architecture (the Annotoloians). The Kingdom of Nexus is like the melting pot of trade which leaves them with a ton of inspiration to form new and more culture. (Other than being open minded to racial and cultural diversity) this actually quite a very good thing for the writer like you because it gives you a TON of freedom rather than trying to be historically accurate. For example, you could do something like give Wolfblade a badass tattoo of a Chinese dragon without having to worry about whether the Celts had dragons in their mythology. See what I mean? It gives a lot of freedom and room for creativity since the Nexians combine many cultures to add to their original Celtic culture which results in the creation of a new and original culture: the Nexian culture. (Just ask the Greeks, they're art and religion was inspired by the Mesopotamians and Egyptians)
Now as for the region of the kingdom of Nexus (you might wanna give the region a name: maybe something like Avalon or El Dorado or Herracraftia) (let's call it Avalon for now) we know it's underground thousands of feet perhaps under the region of the islands of Ireland. Now the reason how Avalon managed to stay secure for thousands of years without collapsing from the surface weight is because it's like a giagantic amethyst crystal (an amethyst crystal is like a bubble since they are hallow and made out of super tough rock, you can look it up). As for how Avalon gets sunlight, there are gigantic yellow/white-hot super powerful crystals up in the sky of Avalon that function as a sun. There are only three of these giant heat crystals and they mimic the movement of the sun just like how a sunflower would. These crystals are referred to as "sun crystals" and their energy comes from the sun on the surface as their roots go all the way to the surface which means if the sun sets then the crystals power down until the sun rises back up again.
Because Avalon is such a huge place (probably half the size of Russia), that most likely means the wildlife will be incredibly different. In fact there could be creates that are known to be extinct that are still living in Avalon as common plants and animals such as dinosaurs or man eating plants and extinct fruits. Now the question is how come no one ever dug up Avalon if it's so big? And the answer to that is because it's so deep underground that it's nearly in the center of the earth and no one has ever dug that deep.
Now as for how the kingdom functions is that you have the king and queen and the eldest prince is the one who is granted the title of the Wolfblade and they are given the sword, Freedom Bringer, that has been passed down for centuries by other Wolfblades before Dave. The Wolfblade is the guardian of the kingdom and he enforces justice throughout the region to preserve the order and those who threaten the innocent.
As for the Nexian technology, they haven't created electricity but they do have highly advanced medieval machinery and engineering technology as their technology is very sophisticated and ingeniously engineered without the need of electric technology so they have to rely on water power or sometimes magical elements. (Similar to the technology of Avatar the last airbender)
Now as for Wolfblade himself (Dave Wolf), we known for sure he's a high end, powerhouse hero like Thor, Green Lantern, Flash, or Superman but we don't exactly know his powers. So can Wolf fly like Superman? Because Thor can't and Wolf is kinda like Thor. If he can't fly then he can probably jump like 400 feet into the air but I assume he can just like how Metal Storm can. He can probably also survive the vacuum of space (don't know about being underwater though). I believe he's got a healing factor that gives him accelerated healing recovery just like Deathstroke's or Captain America (Thor and Superman have this too) as well as an extreme pain tolerance like Kratos or Dante. He can travel at light speed for short distances (kinda like Adam Jensen's Icarus dash), mainly utilizing this when he want to slice and dice something (I see this in anime a lot) or if he wants to quickly dodge something though this ability is depended on how much adrenaline and focus Wolf has. When he doesn't have his sword, Wolf could deliver a punch that could send enemies flying Super Saiyan style. As for his sword, I'd say he should be able to reach out for it and it comes to his hand like a magnet kinda like Green Lantern's ring. He also has the ability to shoot out energy (various kinds) from his sword. Also I like how Wolverine has the ability of enhanced smell and it would be pretty cool if Wolfblade had that as well kinda like how a wolf does
so what do you think? 
Also would you want me to write all this down as a "literature" deviation that explains Wolfblade's kingdom?

Oh don't you worry I did. XD I like the ideas, also to answer your question on some of Wolf's powers, yeah he has increased senses, good eyes, ears and a strong sense of smell, much like Wolverine and he can fly, buuut not for very long. He only ever flies if the need requires it. Healing factor is pretty much close to Wolverine's as he can heal from just about anything, only it's about 1 minute slower. XD
As for the whole sword calling, yeah I like it, similar to how Thor calls him hammer now that I think about it.
Sure go for it.
Oh and btw when it comes to Nexus-Earth, Dinosaurs do already exist on the surface, in some regions anyway, similar to how you can only find Lions in Africa and Tigers in India ect. Just thought I'd point that out. ^^

but one thing: when you say "Nexus-Earth" you mean the region of Wolf Blade's kingdom right? Also just like Wakanda, their kingdom is separated and they live underground in a giant place. Wouldn't you say it's possible that there could have been creatures that are considered extinct (like dinosaurs or even mythical wacky creatures) on the surface, survived in the underground Nexus world because they were safe from the meteorites that nuked the world? That would be pretty cool. Like in Avatar the last airbender, they have these weird Star Wars-looking animals and other wildlife.
I'll make a story about the Nexus underworld that pretty much sums up Wolf Blade's region and people so your audience can have a clear understanding of who exactly Wolf Blade is as a like concept lore. Btw, when I'm finished with it, it's only going to be in its second stage. The final stage is when you approve of it as fully cannon if there's any adjustments you'd wanna make (lets say you want to change the name of some or give a slight change to a detail you think might sound better). Also one question: we know that the kingdom is known as the "Kingdom of Nexus" but is Wolf Blade's region (the whole map) known as "Nexus Earth"? Because that's what I meant when I said "Avalon"

Nope. XD The entire Planet's name is Nexus-Earth (The Whole Solar System Sized world.) It does have tons of different creatures ranging from Dinosaurs and Mytholigical ones too.

Oh, so Nexus-Earth is the name of the Wolf Blade Universe then (just like how The Legacy universe is the Action Man universe). I see. But my question was what would you want to name the region where the Kingdom of Nexus takes place in? (That's what I meant by "Avalon", it's what I temporarily named it since we didn't have name for it). For example, if Thor is from Asguard then Wolf Blade is from "Avalon" (insert name of preference) This is a secret underground continent that the rest of the modern world has never heard of as it is untouched by the rest of society and it's where the Kingdom of Nexus is located

The Guardian-Verse is the name of the universe, Nexus-Earth is the large version of Earth that exists in it.

Yeah but one problem: Nexus Earth is not cannon in the Wolf Blade universe and the reason for that is because Nexus Earth is just a multiversal platform that takes a bunch of random characters and brings them all together. The reason why it cannot be cannon is because Nexus Earth is a platform of crossovers and crossovers cannot be cannon since they contain official, copyrighted characters. For example if I did something like a picture where Action Man and Captain America team up and I called it "cannon" it wouldn't be cannon because Captain America is part of the Marvel universe and he's copy righted to it. Not only that, if it was cannon then that means I would be adding lore that has not been agreed on by Marvel to Cap and Cap's story would be all over the place. See what I mean? Your cannon Wolf Blade universe cannot contain any kinda of trace to a preexisting official universe unless you specify that your oc literally takes place in an official universe (like overwatch ocs). I'm not the biggest fan on official universe based ocs because they are very limited and restricted to certain elements and guild lines and you need to create their backstory in a way that doesn't physically effect the official lore of their universe, so really they can only be at most a bell and whistle. I feel like there might be a lot of confusion so about this, I create an in-depth backlore of the Kingdom of Nexus and the region of Avalon and you can give me your thoughts when I submit it

Btw, so I don't have to keep going back and forth. How about you let me help your write and form your official Wolf Blade universe. It'll be like a team project (though you get to have the final say on everything since its your fictional universe). For instance, I was wondering if I could add characters that I made to your universe. For example I was thinking of giving Wolf an evil younger brother. Though I won't be illustrating these characters nor will i be giving them an in-depth personality. I was thinking more like I could give a gist detail on how they'd look and act and you could create these characters with Hero Machine and write an in-depth description about them. The reason why I'd want to add more characters is to help create the lore more complex and detailed. Also one thing i realized was that there were some characters that were scrapped projects. For instance I sometimes see you create a character but you end up abandoning the idea. In times like that, I can actually revive those characters to "epic-ize" the lore even more. For example I remember you had a female character with an axe or something who looked like a goddess but you scrapped the idea, I could actually do something like "she was once an ancient queen of Avalon but she died trying to defend her people from the Darkness. Her blood was spilled across the lands which resulted in the the Mercy River which gave life to the creatures around it" (you can see the Mercy River on the map of Avalon I made)
Also I strongly recommend that you create a folder in your gallery titled something like "The Official Wolf Blade universe" where you have all your villains and heroes from the Wolf Blade universe for people (like me) to use as reference and understand the themes better. This folder cannot have characters from official universes or other people's ocs. For your Green Lantern oc for example, you can put her in a folder called "Nexus-Earth OCs" for OCs that aren't cannon in the official Wolf Blade universe but are relevant in Nexus Earth. As for me, I'm gonna try to do some research in your gallery to understand your official ocs

Woah didn't think you'd take such an interest in my characters. In all honesty...I'm probably never going to be able to find the time nor the drive to really even expand on them very much. Got to much else to do and not to mention my time will probably be even more little once I end up getting a job...if I can find one, when you live in a place similar to where I live, finding a decent job is rather hard to come by.
Thanks though for thinking about all this but in the end...(Sigh) I dunno, it's really not worth it as my interests don't really follow into OC's very well. I just created The Light, The Dark & Wolf Blade for my crossovers and that's it really.
Besides I have another friend whose own oc is Wolf Blade's adopted brother and is the "Son" of The Dark, not evil like him but believes that he could one day become like him.
I get that you may try and talk me into making Wolf Blade's universe bigger and better and making it rival other well thought out oc universes like in the rest of the DA community but I don't plan to go that far. I'd rather make my own way if you get what I mean. Not that any of these ideas you got going are bad but I feel that their not really Mine, sure I can expand upon them if I wanted to to make them that way but I'm just one of those guys who feel better forging their own stuff without much help.
I'm just doing most of this for fun anyway. XD

Its cool I understand. I'm quite a busy person too (since I've got college and all) but I really would consider my fantasy as a form of hobby if you know what I mean. Like I mean did you ever feel like you needed to kill some time and then you listen to some epic music and you fantasize about your ideal universe? I know i do for sure.
Do you know what to do with those fantasies? You express them through your stories and artworks and that way you move and inspire others. I believe you are heavily capable of writing incredible stories, I really do and imagine you can pull off some badass adventure of Wolf Blade and the kingdom of nexus
It's really a team effort you know like I mean I didn't create this extra lore out of thin air. You gave me the details and I expanded on them. Like I mean you can really do the same where I give you the details (like an idea for example I'll say "we need a scientist oc") and you can expand on them so its almost like a cycle of inspiring each other.
Also the best and most complex universes tend to be ones that are a team effort. I understand that your not really a big fan on using other people's ideas and that your not much into complex back lore but I mean wouldn't you want other people to go "holy crap! this is so epic!" and really admire you? We can do this together just give it a try I know you'll like it
As for my interest in your characters, I'm just one of those people who are incredibly interested in small fandoms that could use more work and lore because it gives a lot of freedom (like the Metal Slug/Syndicate fandom for example).
You see, I'm a concept artist, which means pretty much my job is to pump out original ideas for people to help inspire others. And you know I'm always so overwhelmed with original ideas that don't get to see the light yet and I'm never ever on a shortage of ideas. Sharing my ideas with you to build a universe has been very experimental and an interesting experience for me. What do ya say? wanna give it a try?
(Oh btw I haven't finished the details of Avalon just yet but I'm sure it will blow you out of your seat
In fact, its so detailed that I even mathematically figured out the width and hight of the entire continent of Avalon (Thanks Google maps). Its located under Ireland in the center of the Great Skellig Island. We can further this discussion if you'd like once I submitted the Map of Avalon)
