Victor Bascombe

A retired astronaut and space center businessman. He disguised himself as the Space Mutant and scared away the scientists, so he would steal secret files regarding a discovery of valuable minerals found on Mars and present them as his own discovery to achieve fame and fortune.

Clues:

A hologram helmet. Victor used it to pose and imitate other astronauts and make it seem like they were infected by an alien virus.

A name badge is found with the name Victor B. The B is revealed as Bascombe as in relation to the supposed first alien virus victim.
