thanks for the comments and critique, (i had to reject that as it was against the wrong image) so in answer to your points, I have read a numbe of books dealing with the Drow and i`m aware of the culture, from an artistic point very black skin does not work overly well and with a moonlight setting that she is in a degree of lighting would make a grey skin more bluish to the eye,( the skin texture is in fact grey in base, the lighting creates the blue tint in this image) However i have never been entirely happy with the end lighting so may have another go at some point.

I don't know why it posted my critique to that other image I clicked on the critique button under this image, oh well. I can understand about black skin being diffcult to work with, didn't know grey turned blue in moonlight though thsnk you for the ino and good luck with future attempts.

Thats supposed to be a Drow? Last I knew Drow have skin color that ranges from pitch black to dark grey maybe a few dark shades of purple. I have never heard of a blue Drow before, blue skin is the color of the aquatic elves. Granted my knowledge comes from having played AD&D and AD&D 2nd Edition for 30 years, I have seen other artists get the coloration of the Drow wrong but your the first to ask for a critique that I have come across, so I decided to point out the color error.
There was a book put out by TSR titled Drow of the Underdark that gives good insight into their appearence and culture, I would reccomend reading it before doing anymore images of Drow.
All in all the image looks good to me, just wrong skin color for being a drow.
