Daily art challenge Week 1: Avatar. Day 7: Zuko vs Azula.A re post of my quick painting, focused on the energy clashing when their powers meet.
Done using Photoshop CS5 and the Cintiq.

Seriously though, this is beautiful. I've watched the fight between these two over and over because of how beautiful the blue fire mixed with the red fire looks. so amazing.

Feels a bit flat to me now id like to do more of a spherical version sometime with a bit more depth. maybe a character in the fg.. ill see if the opportunity ever arises hah

Thanks, I wasnt too proud of this one at first, but i went back in and made some minor adjustments that really tipped it in my favor.

haha, yea i wanted nothing but flames almost - its more of a iconic shot - a symbol almost.

Yea i decided to just use the smudge tool a bit and throw some texture into it, a really quick addition but i do agree it made a world of difference.
