I know this is quite far from what I usually submit, but I had such a blast making these I have to share them XDI was having a crafting day with my colleague and figured I'd need a couple of fun buttons for my art class.
Well we got into brainstorming and stuff got out of my hands again! I was only supposed to make a couple of them but man this was fun!
And so many characters I would love to do still
I think I'll make fridge magnets out of these...
I've been quite busy with school starting and I still have tons of planning to do for all my classes. But ah it feels so great to be back to work again!
Next week I'll try to get back on track with my art as well.

Hello there from ProjectComment . Seeing these buttons brings me back some good memories of my childhood television preferences, especially when it comes to He-Man, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and Transformers (which had their TV debuts sometime during the 1980’s, my birth decade), as well as X-Men. Of all these eighteen characters, the only one I do not recognize is that purple being right below Iron Man and to the left of Deadpool (camera point of view): who is she? The only issue I have here is your choice of Skeletor to represent the Masters of the Universe fandom, given that your deviation’s title says Hero Buttons: everybody agrees that he is a villain, even though I recall him doing one good deed during the 1985 He-Man & She-Ra’s Christmas Special (which I never got to see until early this year when it aired on Syfy, an American cable network), so maybe I can forgive you this one only because of that movie in particular.
As for the art itself: I like the result of your analogue colors and shading, taking into account this is traditional art and not digital. It gives them a warm, nostalgic feeling not different from what we saw on early comic books’ cover pages. Also, the amount of blush you put on Leia Organa’s cheeks gives her a somewhat comical look, since the blush on her looks more pronounced than that on Wonder Woman, but that is because you gave Leia a lighter skin color compared to Diana Prince. At first glance, I thought you either drew their background circles with a stencil or made them digitally (because they looked too perfect to be drawn by hand on paper), but when I zoomed in, I discovered that you actually cut circular pieces out of some type of construction paper (for which you probably used a big hole puncher, since it doesn’t look like you cut them out with scissors, even if you drew the circles with a stencil before cutting them), because of some tell-tale signs like a shadow being cast by a small flap of paper (from the Wolverine, Chewbacca, and Batman buttons, for example) slightly hovering over your desk rather than lying perfectly flat onto its surface. A very small issue I found by zooming in has to do with some of the character heads’ symmetry relative to their buttons’ circumference (examples: Wolverine & Batman’s horns not equally distant to their enclosing circles, Logan being shifted slightly to the left while Bruce Wayne slightly to the right; Spider Man being a little more to the right rather than dead center within the button diameter; and Princess Leia’s left hair bun almost touching her button’s right side). I do, however, like how you perfectly aligned the buttons on a 4×5 grid, laying them out equidistant to each other on all four cardinal directions; that serves to compensate for the buttons’ small symmetry issue I pointed out.

I know the name can be misleading XD however what if Skeletor IS someone's hero?? ;D At least I think he's pretty awesome!

Yeah I made actual buttons of these so I cut the circles from paper with a paper cutter and only drew them afterwards.
First ones I made quite fast as I wasn't supposed to make so many so they look a bit rushed - I think the second set has way better anatomy on the characters.
