Description
Myself as "Hueco Mundo" Ichimaru Gin from Bleach. Photo taken by Ollie [Orobouros.net] at Katsucon 2007. The costume is fully-lined and constructed by myself, and I took great care with fitting the overcoat properly. Don't you just love Ichimaru-san's billowy, black hole-ish sleeves, LOL? The sword was made by John [Nekkid Ichigo]. I had great fun wearing this back when the Hueco Mundo arch was OH GOD SPOILER territory in America, but I've since sold the costume and wig to new owners who promises to give them a happy life!Please no critiques/criticism. I'd like to keep this gallery happy. :3

what binding method did you use for this?
I myself have also made this outfit of his and had to use a binding vest and then since the shirt is so low I had to add ace bandage on top of it. >o<

Oh, it was nothing complicated! Just ace bandage, just like I normally use. I had to wrap a little lower than I normally do, though, because of the neckline.

LOL, I had the opposite reaction to him: I liked him for those same reasons, and I always hoped that he'd become the major baddie. Can't quite believe that a slippery fellow like him would whole-heartedly follow Aizen. We'll see. ^__^; Thanks for the comment! <3

LOL, I knew he was evil, but I never thought he would side with Aizen. I somehow always expected Gin to double-cross him. I suppose there's still time for that to happen, but I don't anticipate it. I VERY loosely follow Bleach, but only to see if my dear Urahara-san makes an appearance. Old-school Bleach is where it's at. I got bored about 20 chapters into Hueco Mundo and decided it wasn't really worth reading about all 3403298439384 Arrancar, since they'll die in the end, anyway. Less fighting, more plot, Kubo Tite.

Most female cosplayers will bind their chests for male characters to create a leaner physique. ^__^ I bind for any male character or younger character [Maya and Ema from Phoenix Wright, for instance]. Thanks for the comment!

Not really. ^__^; You have to be very careful that you don't wrap yourself too tight, because it becomes difficult to breath. I had one episode where I wrapped myself too tightly for Gaara and, between the gourd straps cutting off the circulation in my arms, the temperature being 90+, and the binding making it hard to get a good breath, I almost blacked out on the trek back to my hotel. Oh the silly things we do for cosplay!

Meep. Yeah maybe that was a little too much. I think the only time I almost blacked out was once in PE where I decided to see how far I could run without slowing to a walk. Vision started getting all fuzzy and stuff so I realized that I should probably slow down at that point. I'll make sure not to try THAT hard when cosplaying. I wanna be awake and aware for it!
