Tsubaki Himura, heir to the Himura Yakuza clan, had vanished from the sport of MMA for several years, following her brother’s (the original heir’s) mysterious death. There were rumors that she had to fight for her life in the infamous underground arenas of the rival Kurosawa clan. But no proof of that was ever discovered.
After several years, when her name had already drifted off into obscurity in Japan’s MMA world, out of nowhere, her name was signed up for a Shooto tournament. A tournament, during which she would absolutely destroy her competition.
In her prior run as a professional MMA fighter, she had been known for going easy on outclassed opponents. Which granted her the nickname of “the compassionate dragon”, matching the Irezumi of a blue dragon on her back.
However, in this tournament, she was like a different person than the one that had made a name for herself as a MMA newcomer. Many of her fights ended in the first round, with several of her opponents needing immediate medical attention.
She went into every match as if it was a fight to the death, no matter who her opponent was. “the compassionate dragon” was no longer.

After making one hell of an impression with her sudden comeback. She seemingly wanted to make up for the time she had lost. Accepting any fight opportunities she could get and showing up as a guest announcer for several events, such as the KnockOut Boxing Tournament.
No matter how many times interviewers asked her about where she had been in the time between her brother’s death and her sudden comeback. She would never give them an answer and just straight up ignored those questions. All the public knew was that Tsubaki was back and stronger than ever.
