this was done for globo's brazilian version of the "orpheus" special issue of neil gaiman's "sandman" series, originally published through vertigo's dc imprint.marcelo campos, sergio codespoti and i did pin-ups to go along with the original gallery that contained artworks from mckean, kaluta, windsor-smith, russell, bisley, williams, and aragonΓ©s.
i used indian ink

where did you get the design for the pentagram? Is it an official thing?
I am trying to decipher it, and I notice a difference between other images I've seen and this one

I'm really sorry, but I do not remember where I've taken this from. It has been a LOOOOONG time... A lucky guess would be to tell you it is from the very comics, i.e. Neil Gaiman's The Sandman, wherein the character is featured; I cannot guarantee. Sorry, sorry!

whoa, looks like booklet for some metal band or sth along these lines. On the full view however - impressive. For the first time i see Death with that kind of almost mischievous look

well, i've always thought sandman and the other endless had this rock/pop thing - from alice cooper to kiss, from laurie anderson to the cure...
