I overall like how you do the faces. This looks better probably because it is more polished, at least to my eye.
And you get bonus points from me for the well done details like her hair, eyes, lips, ear and the fabric of her outfit.

I like how the lips turned out here most of all, but for some reason I guess I didn't manage to replicate that on more recent pictures.

Sometimes it's hard to replicate something that came out great.
What happens the most for me are the eyes. I get one to look
how I like, when I move on to the other I suddenly forget how
to draw.

Eyes are really hard because they're so important for the look indeed (and should be somewhat symmetrical, too)!

Somewhat is the correct word here, since the right and left side of our face is never exactly the same.
In fact if you will take the two halves and mirror them, you will get two different faces.

Nostalgic; kind of reminds me of my own character. I like what you did with the minute details; from what I gather from your painting, she's a rather inquisitive, or perhaps bored character?

Maiden is an (old) English word for (young) women usually associated with beauty/innocence/purity (I believe, didn't look up a dictionary to confirm), it's not the same as maid.
