Hey Manwathiell, nice to hear from you, how are you?
Big thanks for your nice words and the fave, really! Your great! Yes, its the same to me, difficult to subtly express myself in english I always need the dictionary. But its all practice, istn´t it?
This time I wanted to make something really clear, I always admire those manips that are technically very easy, but with great impression due to their clearness. I like this kind of art but find it hard to find such a concept myself. I will try this more often in future and I hope it gets easier one day
In fact this is the easiest manip I have ever done (still took me one day of trying around), but until now the only one I would hang in my living room
This is all made with the color channels, the channel mixer and a bit transperancy. Only the sky and its reflections are still colored. To try it, choose the channels tab, right of the layers tab and make only one channel visible, you will see different contrast situations wich I use often to create layer masks for cropping and lightning. With the channel mixer you can check monochrom and mix those channels. (First time for me to use this).
The shadow is done with curves on the watersurface and the perspective only seems slightly changed through the waters and boats perspective.
Sadly no time for 3D this theese days, actually I´m working on a really complex manip I have to finish next weekend. (a complete landscape with different regions on the back of a turtoise)
The challange here is to find the right stocks, the fading and not to get overloaded with colors and details. I´m curious myself how it will turn out, lets see.
Greetings!

The clearness is what made it so appealing to me, absolutely.
And I think that many times, less is more. I am stunned on how
great this one looks!
I never worked with channels, but I copied this comment to myself
on a note (I have a folder with your advices and notes hahha!)
and I will make sure to try that.
Curves is another difficult tool for me to use. I keep using
brightness, hue, exposures... I know that curves do all that on
one move, but I still can't understand that tool well.
I am now so curious to see your new work !! I am not on much
because I'm having some work loaded days, but I will eventually
get to it once you submit it !!!
