Time ticks on eternal,
Just another day,
Just another obstacle,
To trip over,
Another trial,
A guilty verdict,
A stile to climb over,
Another word out of place,
It’s only one day,
But it seems to last forever,
And everything I do is wrong.

I smile,
But no one else is smiling,
I cry,
And I am the only one,
Opening my mouth,
Is like releasing,
A swarm of razor blades,
Sharp and shiny,
Cutting into people,
Because of what I say,
My tact for words,
And if I stapled my mouth closed,
They’d just come from my eyes,
Run with my tears,
Cut open my cheeks,
Expose me for what I am,
And the blood runs warm,
But soon will stop,
And the red tears congeal,
But pain never goes stale,
Never dulls,
Like old knives,
Always sharp,
Like the blade of my knife,
Cutting deeper and deeper,
Into my happiness,
So it’s just another day right?
A whole new day in this rut of repetition.
