Wow I'm psyched you're reading it and enjoying it, haha! You know, I keep meaning to do more art of Wolfies, but there never seems to be enough time... maybe I'll put some up in the future. ^_^ If you're curious though, there's a bunch of fan art on my website about them. ^_^

briefly this morning I was looking at it. but it would be great to see it come from your brain since that would mean accuracy. like what you, theresa, intended the wolfies to look like.

you knwo what's so hilarious? I have two characters in my story who are main characters (the Adella one). One is Dorian, the other is Etienne. I laughed out loud on the plane when I read their names and people were like "O_o;;;" at me. I'm gonna have to change my characters names now XD!

I named one character Etienne because it's my boyfriend's father's name. they're french and stuff. Etienne LaFreniere.

i would love something like this!! better yet tho, instead of me telling you what i want. i want you to make me something from the heart! as long as it is full of your energy it will be exactly what i want!!
your work is full of strength and excitement! you are capturing emotion and making a good effort at portraying the human figure. keep up the hard work and your art can only get better!

Thanks a lot! Please let me know what kind of character and scene you would like (I'd prefer sending it in the note), and I'll start working on your prize straight away. I know you said for me to make something for you "from the heart", but I'd at least like a little bit of direction to go on. Character, setting, etc. I look forward to working with you! ^_^

AHhh OMG....I have read your story, well...actually I haven't quite finished it yet, but I hear you are making it into a book!??? I can't wait to buy it so I can read it over and over again!
And I simply cannot forget about this lovely drawing? It's amazing, I love the coloring and details in it, especially the background. Awesome job keep up the great work!

Lol, thanks so much, I'm really glad you like the drawing, and I'm so glad you like the book too! I'm sorry you haven't been able to finish it yet, the story on my site is kinda in the process of being re-uploaded, but hopefully you can still get the updates on fictionpress.
I am turning the story into a book, and it should be available this month, actually. If you check my journal, you can see details on a contest to win a free copy. ^_^ I also have a separate contest going on my website, so if you're better at writing than art, you can check out that one too.
Thanks for all the wonderful favs and the watch btw, and keep in touch!

excellent work -love the 'painterly' quality (i think thats the term all the posh mags use...!!) - the whole picture works as one, and the girl actually looks like all her body parts are connected...yey!

I admit to doing alot of measuring to get outlines accurate...then i can concentrate on shading etc! Need to do more work, but am waiting on getting a graphics tablet before getting involved with real digital art...mice are fine but a little awkward!

and tablets are so much cheaper...no one ever considersthe long term cost of mice...its all the feeding and cleaning out that you have to do...plus the fact they live next to the computer....who thought that was a good idea....mice and cables combined, no wonder we get so many computers crashing....ok...not much sleep the last two nights...lol!!!
Are you finding the small wacom size ok? I've been thinking of saving up fr a bit larger one, an intuos if i can, asi borrowed a graphire (i think) but it didn't have the software so some features didn't work properly!

CrystallineEssence In reply to Amazonofexeter [2006-12-14 00:51:04 +0000 UTC]
Lol, yes, damn those mice, and they're not very long lived either...
I'm actually having no trouble at all with the small wacom tablet, I have the smallest size but it's never bothered me (I don't have a lot of desk space for a big one). What I like about the small size is that I have small hands, so I don't have to move all around a huge space just to color the part I'm interested in, or move my wrist at all sorts of weird angles. The size is really just in your mind, anyway - you can train your brain to be good at just about anything, and adjusting to any kind of tablet is hard at first, small or large.
I'm not quite sure what kind of wacom I'm using, I don't have it right in front of me (I've been camped out at my boyfriend's apartment for the last few weeks, haha, shh don't tell the building manager ), but I use Photoshop CS2 and Painter 9 and I haven't had any trouble with it so far.

No....real nightmare....we need atomic mice......well, at least they would glow in the dark so they could be easily found!
Thats cool about the Wacom tablet - might be worth getting a small one first....they seem to be pretty popular on ebay so shouldn't be any trouble dispatching it if i upgrade and don't want two!
Lucky you...is this going to be a permanent arrangement or just a holiday for now...and no, i won't tell the BM....lol!!
Thanks for the info...will have to go look!!

Re living - sounds a good balance...money always helps keep body and soul connected to a comfortable bed...lol!
Re tablet - will do, your idea of a small tablet does have a logical appeal now i think of it...i often do better pics with tiny doodles rather than big sketches where one side never matches the other!! (and the money saved is a big advantage too!)
