Description
This character is an anime representation of myself, or you could say it’s a self-portrait in an anime way I haven’t decided her name yet, but it will most probably be Crysenna lol yesh my current screen name I'm going to use her as my Deviant ID in the future.

I don't exactly know how the idea of the outfit came about. I wanted her outfit to be fairy-like; to be somewhat soft, flowing and appealing. So the design I created emphasized different layers and colors of see-through sort of cloth/material. And the colors I chose this time are more towards a cooler palette. I love purple, so her hair and eyes are purple for this obvious reason.

Then the idea of the small flowers and flow-like ribbons came constantly. The flowers started from her hair. I somehow began adding more all over unconsciously But the ribbons are intentionally there XDD It definitely added alittle more detail to this piece, which reminded me of The Gift of Love XDD

The only worry that I had during the process of inking and coloring was the background.

I wasn’t sure how the background was going to be at first. But then yellow and orange hues were my final choices for textures. Orange is not an easy color to work with(for me) I hope I chose the right color for the background that brought out a nice distinction to my character but still it not too bold and prominent.

The whole composition is to give an enchanting and dreamlike feel, kinda like floating in a dream most atmosphere. Some details are somewhat lost through the scanning process as usual, so those tiny little flowers (maybe daisies?) scattered everywhere are not very apparent in the preview.

I can’t remember how long this piece took me, but a full view is necessary to fully appreciate my hours of painstaking efforts.
