Maybe is just the squared trunk that makes it difficult to recognize by itself? The heads are ok to me, I believe the general siluoette and idea is lost on the totemlike trunk.

I really love these though, the only thing that I don't really like on the exeggutor is the top head dripping as well, since in the original design it doesn't have a broken head on top of the others... I know you're giving these all an original twist, but with this one it just seems a bit weird to add an extra head where the leaves sprout from ^^

I think it got a little morbid with the dripping yolk. Based on the WIP I thought they were basically coconuts.

I wanted to go the coconut route, though after showing it to some friends they told me it wasn't distinguishable as exeggutor anymore :/ Which is probably why I dislike this design, I changed it midway while rendering >_>
If I really do end up re-doing this I'll try to make something less generic (and probably less morbid lol), kind of lost the whole tiki thing which is a shame.

I can see that. Coconuts were cute but it's true it's not exactly eggs. Still pretty good but I'd be excited to see something more tiki.
