Description "The Tempest is an advanced assault vehicle which carries two heavy heat-rays and a canister launcher."

Here we have the mighty Martian Tempest. The Tempest is apparently one of the strongest units in the game. Being able to destroy most opposition. Of course, I have never played the game sadly, so all Im going off it information I gathered.

Im not satisfied with the legs, and may redo them at some point. They lack the spindly look they posess.

Next up, maybe the Xeno-Telepath.
If anyone has any good referencing images could they let me know? I can hardly find anything on the internet about this unit.

ive played this game the tempest is pretty powerful but like said its most units it can destroy until you get to the 3rd generation tempest that wipes out all that come near it

I am probably going to start work on the Constrictor or Xeno Telepath, so you might get some reference pictures from that later this week, anyway. I love this and this time the tables are turned, you help me with reference!

And it's really hard to find good reference pictures eh? I got some for you if you want. In the game itself there is a screen with information about every machine and building, and in the background there are bueprints of them. That helped me a lot, I can send them to you if you want

Haha, I actually have that video saved in my folders, that's where I got my referencing for the Bombardment Machine. And this picture for referencing? Bah, nice to be a thought, but you do far greater work than I can mate, Spore's simplicity get's in the way. Thanks though

Thanks for the compliment, but I disagree. When I look at my own models I see a lot of mistakes. But I love your rendering style. Spore has a nice rendering, and you make the machines look really nice!

But anyway, those blueprints are great for referencing Looking forward to seeing more WOTW Machines from you!

I've been a little inactive lately, partly becouse I've been modelling some futuristic Captain Scarlet style stuff, and also becouse I've been working on the War of the Worlds project. I don't know if I have posted a journal on that some time ago, but I've changed the style of my project from RCT3 to Real Pictures. And I've been working out lately (biking for a few hours a day every day) and I've come across a lot of great War of the Worlds style things like burned and collapsed buildings and more things like that

It's gonna take some time, but this time I am going to complete it, and no updates anymore I have worked on a few projects last few years, and two of them were really big, and they both have not seen the light of day yet. One has started work back in 2006 And the other in 2009. I am just a perfectionist, and when I think that I have the ''ultimate way'' of making the project, something happens. Like I discover a new game that has better rendering, or I get new inspiration So that's why I decided to go for real photographs, that can't be topped by any form of rendering

I have the War of the Worlds game on the Playstation 1, it's good but in the book telling you about the units, the tempest doesn't look exactly like that. But this is VERY good.

Imperfection is something every creator faces in Spore, especially trying to duplicate something else. But for Now I'm pleased with the result.

That is AMAZING! I love the way they came out.

And about the Tempest in the game, it's a real juggernaut. In the first generation, it's still quite easy to handle if you have enough defenses on Human side, but on the 3rd Generation, it's a real beast! It's main weapons are the dual Heat-Rays it carries and the canister launcher it carries on top can fire the Black Smoke canisters and (after unlocking it for the 2nd and 3rd Generation only) Shock Bombs.
