Whooo boy. Every once in awhile, I'll do something really ambitious that makes me not want to see another blank sheet of paper for a week. This is one of those times. I wanted to draw a picture where lots of stuff was happening... yeah. I think that worked.
Anyway, why the heck did Blue's Clues never actually have a camping episode? Or have I just missed it? I mean, if you can set up a beach in your backyard, pitching a tent shouldn't be that much trouble.
I still can't quite get a grip on Baby Bird. I flatly refuse to draw him as plaid, but of course that makes any color I use look wrong. And my backgrounds are still super-lazy... meh.
Minor whining aside, I really like how this turned out, and it was a lot of fun... just haven't done anything this big in awhile.

A version without the orange cast to the lighting is in scraps... [link] I'd never tried a lighting effect like this before. Not entirely sure how I feel about it still, but I'm told it's "warmer and feels more authentic" this way. (I like it both ways!)
