Yup! Become all things to all men so you can reach some. ;D They dress as Zombies, so the name "Grave Robber" well, Christs robbed us from the grave, zombies= we are to be dead to this world, but alive in Christ, so "walking dead, living dead". I love 'em great band and great guys (they stayed at my place for a couple of days while on tour one time.) 2 of the guys in the band are ordained pastors too. Check 'em out if ya get the chance so long as your into music like Misfits, Gorgeous Frankenstein, stuff like that. ;D

Altered states music video (Song makes a comparison of being a Frankincense's monster in progress to being a new creation in Christ in progress.): [link]

I'm not sure what to say exactly. I'm still baffled by the genre.

LOL! OK!

Well, what type of music are you into? I'm kinda the heavy metal, hardcore, punk rock kinda guy. I'm not a fan of mainstream Christian music in the least to tell ya the truth.

When I try to reach out to people who are into the same style of music I'm into there is no way that they would listen to the mainstream Christian music or any kind of worship album type stuff, they'd instantly reject it and put up a wall. I can bring them something that they would be listen to in the first place and it has a message, so we can have common ground to stand upon when talking to one another. Without a common ground it's like havin a guy in a 3 piece suit with a bible in his hand walk into an underground hardcore show and try to preach, they'd boo the guy outta there and throw stuff at the guy if not jump him and beat the crap outta him. Meeting people where their at is a great way to reach those who you normally might just put up a wall and you might not reach or who might reject the message in any other format. I hope ya get what I'm trying to say in this. I'm not arguing or anything silly like that, I'm not that kind of person, just trying to explain a little I guess.

To tell ya the truth I personally would have never come to know Christ through a church or anything like that. I came to knowing Christ through Christian death metal albums siutting in my bedroom by myself listening to them and reading throuhg the lyrics. Without the ministry of Christian I would probably never have come to know Christ as my personal loard and savior.

Anything, but country really. Mostly 90's rock and 80's pop songs.

Yeah, that's true. And it does seem like these guys have more energy than most Christian bands. I know you should be reverent in front of God and all, but they should also be excited.

No problem with that. Only band somewhat similar to this is Red. Though they didn't go into the horror genre.

I'm not overly familiar with Red to tell ya the truth, I listen to Christian bands that are more energy for sure like: War of Ages, Becoming the Archetype, Demon Hunter, Flatfoot 56, For Today, Impending Doom, In the Midst of Lions, Living Sacrifice, MyChildren MyBride, Onward to Olympus, A Plea for Purging, Sleeping Giant, Underoath, xDeathstarx, No Innocent Victim, Norma Jean, The Chariot, stuff like that (lots more, but here is a good sample.) There is some energy for ya! LOL! XD You know any of these bands?

To get in the middle of you guyses conversation, Red is an Awesome band!! Another good Christian band (but they are an extremely alternative band with complex meanings behind their works) is Falling in Reverse. You should give them a listen if you're into Christian rock, Red especially. Breath into Me is a good one.

But this band sounds cool, Grave Robber. I love horror themed stuff. Any specific songs you could suggest I listen to first?

Hey, whats up. Well "Red" is personally a little light for me, not trying to say their bad or anything like that, just not quite my thing. I'm more of a heavy metal, punk rock, hardcore kinda guy. I do art for some Christian punk bands and Christian record labels. If you wanna check out Grave Robber there are links in the description and you can listen to their music and see what you think. ;D Grave Robber take such things as living dead and b movie monsters and create a kind of parralel to Christianity to reach those in darkness that might not necessarily hear the message of Christ. Like for example the song "Altered states" make a parallel of becoming a new being in Christ to that of being a Frankenstein's monster in progress. They dress as "living dead" to parallel "dying to ourselves and being alive in Christ". Real cool guys too and the vocalist and guitarist are ordained pastors. Feel free to check them out. ;D

Haha, not much, what's goin on?
I gotcha Whatever floats your boat, I listen to a wide range of music myself. Metal, punk, rock, "screamo", emo, it's all good for me.
You definetly don't wanna check out that Falling Up band then though. They are much lighter than Red it x) The only Christian Metal I ever heard of was Stryper, but they are pretty dated, and hair metal, not the type you'd dig I'm assuming. They are more straight forward with their lyrics, but they're still pretty good if you like their genre okay. Their album artwork for the record Reborn has the band "tearing away" their old bodies and being 'Reborn'; pretty cool stuff. The song Reborn rocks too. But again, I don't know if you'd like it. They updated their style sort of with that one, the music sounds heavier, but the singer still sounds "lighter", especially when they hit the chorus.
Oh so you did this album artwork? Awesome! I saw some of your other stuff on here too, and the zombie make up, they look great! x)
Anyways, I listened to Burn Witch Burn and Altered States, they were great! Reminds me of Misfits a little. I love their costumes too, a little bit like Lordi (them guys Lordi write and dress B-movie horror material to the max!). Grave Robber being a Christian band, their lyrics suprised me, but the horror stuff serves as a Great metaphore! That's too cool! I really like their stuff.
Oh wow, for real?? I wish them guys could preach here, haha. We need open minded Christians. u_u
Thanks for the recommend n_n

Are you talking about the original with the pierced hand holding a rose on the cover, I have that one too? This is a limited edition re-release of that album and they wanted different art work to set them apart from one another. I didn't do the art on the original one, but I like it.
