Um, so I've been taking figure drawing, and doodling around in general, and I realized that... I only really draw one type of character, and not the "exciting" type. The easy type.So I've been playing around. At work today, I decided to screw my monotonous ways and play around with some diverse character types. What series has some diverse character types? HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON, OF COURSE! So I doodled up this page of miscellaneous characters from the books (only one of the above is actually in the movie, and he looks absolutely NOTHING like the movie version (he was described completely differently in the books).
Anyway... If anyone can like, name them all, you win one internets. And maybe if I'm feeling generous I'll draw you a picture of your favorite book character or something. Depends.

Yes, some of them are very poorly drawn, since I was in pen (BEST EXCUSE EVAR (NO)), and I know I probably flubbed some details (which stuff is on which side, etc. since I didn't exactly have reference right in front of me. But yeah. These are all from books 1-7, and based roughly on Cressida Cowell's original descriptions/illustrations.

Yeah, I wasn't going for Stoick with that one, but he does look like the movie version. I was going pretty literal with the book descriptions, as far as I could remember (I didn't exactly have them right in front of me, though. XD).
But yeah, the rest of 'em look right.

It doesn't, and it probably never will- some people can't see past the rough characters and the poo jokes to the warm, vibrant, deep interior. XD Sad, really. XP
