I've decided to use the marandians gems more, so here I've been playing a bit around with the moongem. First I thought I would use the moongem on Dagdröm, I mean just imagine that dreamy pearly colored mare with a pretty fishtail. Then my mind got set on the flame colored Golnar, and I mean Come on! That's just an awesome combo, water and fire! So here he is, and those things you are probably believing to be feathers are the kind of things that Axelotls has. Dunno what they're called in english

Corlis hurried excited to the stable. He had just gotten a text from Kai saying that Golnars gem had arrived. As he rushed through the stable he ran straight into Jonas.
-Oh sorry man! Corlis excused his behaviour.
Jonas scratched his forehead in an irritated gesture, looked up without so much as glancing at Corlis,
-Yeah, sure, he said briefly as he walked away.

Corlis just shaked it off and rushed into the office where the package laid. On a blue ribbon a moongem was attached. Corlis couldn't help but smiling. Then he rushed out to Golnar to try out the gem.
The man he had ordered the gem from spoke a foreign language, and the conversation hadn't been all smooth since they didn't fully understand each other. But the man had promised that it would turn the marandian to half a fish.

Corlis lead Golnar out to the empty pastern where the pond was placed, and he tried to convince the stallion to stay in the water, but he refused. But Corlis wouldn't lay off and the stallion went grumpier and grumpier the more he was nagged. It ended up with Corlis in the pond and the stallion standing victorious on the ground.
-Suit yourself you stubborn ass, he mumbled as he walked forward the stallion. He tied the ribbon with the gem around the forelock, stepped back and waited for the magic to happen. But nothing happened.

Corlis who had been so excited fell deeply into dissapointment, and assumed that he had bought just a colored stone.
-Tricked again. As always. Do I have the worst of luck or am I incredibly naive, boy? Golnar came closer and tenderly buffed his muzzle on Corlis cheek.
-You know what boy? You can actually have this pastern from now one. The shelter is renovated and the grass is fresher.
In his disappointment he walked out of the remote pastern without turning back. The fakestone was still in Golnars forelock. Had Corlis just turned around he could had witnessed how Golnar drawned to the water stepped in to the pond and let the not-so-fake stone work it's magic.
