Just a chinese unicorn or ki'lin, or kirin, however you wish to spell it. The background is borrowed from another painting I am busy with. Used here because the colours matched and the original painting was going to have the unicorn in, but I have decided to remove it and submit it here separately. nice... For better or worst, I am personally very happy to see more fantasy/mythology based themes from you... and this, in particular is a very nice one too...
I know nothing about the creature itself, but it's wonderfully executed... and the hair/mane... it's just gorgeous...
WIsh I oculd create something like that in phtotshop...
