Lara sighed, hoping Quint was okay from last night. He didn't mean to abandon him so suddenly... Quint probably hated him! He hoped that he would run into Quint today so he could apologize for being so selfish.

Quint stepped shakily out of the woods, looking around to make sure no one was there - especially the cirqes from last night. God, they must hate him now...dislike only got worse over time...What HAD he done? Had he said something? Done something? Oh, god, please don't let anyone see him...
(xD It's all right, I wasn't expecting it either. I'm sure you didn't butcher him!

Even with his impaired vision of his left eye, Lara was still able to spot Quint from one of the upper floor windows. It was time to apologize! He ran quickly down the stairs, huffing heavily from the exercise. Was he out of shape? Lara thought suddenly, but pushed that selfish thought away. Making it to the door, he looked out and called out to Quint. "Q-Quint! Q-" he took a breath before he tried to yell again. When had he been so out of breath?
"Q-Quint.." Lara stumbled over to him, trying to catch his breath. "C-Can..ah..can I talk to you?" Quickly, he wiped the sweat he felt forming on his forehead, and tried to smile at the shy, younger boy.

LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL, More dramu? Ven hurt herself...um..Sath and Lara got a bit more comfy together...Prix helped Ven out...they took her to the nurse when she passed out, so it...kinda ended okay? ))

Quint didn't have the guts to glare anymore. Instead he swiped at the tears in his eyes, watched the ground and pulled his hood up - his way of blocking out the world. "Wh-why would you...w-want to t-t-talk to me...?"

"Why wouldn't I?" Lara said gently, stepping closer and putting a hand softly on Quint's cheek. "It should be me who everyone hates. I abandoned YOU. I'm very sorry for how selfish I was being that night. Please, Quint, if you could...forgive me?"
He watched Quint, his eyes turning a dark blue, wishing that the day all of this happened...had never occurred.

Quint stepped back, away from his hand. "They all leave, they act nice then leave..." Quint mumbled, looking down and away. "Why should I trust YOU?"

Sighing, Lara looked away, the colour dying in his eyes. "I'm sorry... You're right. There is no reason to trust me...I...I haven't proven to you that I'm a good person... In fact, I think I showed that I am a very selfish, mean person. I don't..." He sighed, looking up as if the tears would spill otherwise. "I don't...deserve any of the attention from anyone...a..and I'm sorry for hurting you Quint."

Quint turned his head, hands in pockets,to hide the tears trailing down his face and so he didn't have to look at Lara. Goddammit, Quint, you always do that... He thought to himself. Can't you learn to face your problems? He looked back to Lara and stepped towards him, looking the older boy in the face. "It's not about you...I'm the one overreacting." His stutter returned after that one sentence clear of it. "Uh-um...you're the n-n-nicest person...I know. You d-don't have to be sorry..."

He shook his head, reaching out and hugging the younger boy. "N-No...You're right. I'm a horrible person...mean and selfish...I don't see how you could ever forgive me...but I am more sorry than you will ever know for just leaving you like that," Lara whispered, his voice breaking since he tried to keep the tears bottled inside. "S-So...I'm sorry Q-Quint..."

Quint wiped his eyes, trying to get rid of the never-ending flow of tears. Lara wasn't crying, why was he? What a baby... "N-no, I mean i-it, you're n-n-not mean, or s-selfish, I know th-that. It's not your f-fault you l-left, you went to g-go help Sath...So I'm the o-one who should b-b-be sorry..."

Lara laughed, hugging the younger boy a bit more tightly, "No...let us...put this behind us. That way we can move on and become better friends." He sniffled and pulled away kissing Quint's cheek. "What do you say, Quint?"

Quint rubbed his eyes and smiled at the ground, stepping back. "Ye...yeah." He looked hopefully at the older boy. "So...we're fr-friends n-now?" He asked. He hoped they could, Lara was a sweet boy who he'd love to have as a friend.
