Vacation Time

"A vacation??" Luna Murphy smiled as she remembered the words that had come out of her mouth only a few days earlier, when Tiffany had surprised her with an airline ticket for an exotic island locale, explaining that the two of them were taking a vacation for a week. No work, no heroics, no costumes, no stress, just the two of them and a private beach, the warm sun, and clear blue ocean as far as the eye could see. Luna had been a bit worried at first, taking an entire week off from both her restaurant and being Galaxy, but Tiffany had assured her there were other heroes that would keep an eye on things while they were gone, and Luna had excellent employees that would keep her place running while she was gone. "We need this..." She remembered Tiffany telling her, just before the redhead shushed her minor opposition with a deep loving kiss.

Luna chuckled as she recalled the conversation, shaking her head as she realized she had been worried for nothing. They had arrived at their destination a couple of days ago, a nice private resort on the beach that was all inclusive and had everything the two women could possibly ever need. There were fancy restaurants and night clubs, as well as more laid back spots to hang out and just relax. The resort also had a five star spa, which both heroines had taken full advantage of. Of course there had also been the late night romantic rendezvous, with Tiffany insisting they got all dressed up for "dates" at the resort's more upscale restaurants. Tonight though, they were taking a bit of a break, going for a walk on the private beach as the sun started to sink slowly into the horizon. Luna grinned as she watched Tiffany chat with the vendor at the ice cream stand nearby, the lovely Latina unable to take her green eyes off of Tiffany's pale freckled skin.

Tiffany suddenly turned around, smiling at Luna as she started to saunter toward her, knowing that her girlfriend was watching her every move in her sexy red bikini that left very little to the imagination. She held and ice cream cone in each hand, a large spiral of freshly made raspberry ice cream brimming from each. Tiffany also let her eyes wander, letting them trace all over Luna's toned form, the woman known to the world largely as the super heroine Galaxy looking amazing in her two piece swimsuit that showed off her toned stomach and lithe form. "Ice cream?" Luna giggled with a bit of childlike wonder as Tiffany held one of the cones toward her. "Yes and it is to die for! This place is amazing!!" Tiffany smiled as she watched Luna eat some of her sweet treat, the raven haired beauty smiling as she tasted the freshly made dessert. "Mmmm...delicious..." She was about to say something else when she felt Tiffany suddenly take her hand and give it a squeeze, the redhead tugging Luna gently along as she started to walk toward the beach.

"This is the best vacation ever...this amazing place, the beautiful scenery...and my gorgeous love..." Tiffany slowed her pace a bit and leaned over to let her head rest gently against Luna's, closing her eyes as she gently nuzzled her girlfriend. Luna blushed softly and gave Tiffany's hand a loving squeeze before she turned her head and kissed her softly on the cheek. "I love you Tiffany...thank you so much for setting up this amazing vacation...I feel so free here, nothing to worry about..." Tiffany blushed at Luna's words and slowly opened her eyes, turning her head to the side so she could plant a soft kiss on her lover's plush lips. "We've been working so hard, fighting so many villains...even we need a break now and then...and to have you here with me my love...this week is going to be so special..." The ladies both spent a moment just staring into one another's eyes before silly little smiles crossed their faces and they both giggled as they started to walk slowly up the beach, keeping pace with one another as they held hands and enjoyed the feeling of their shoulders brushing softly together as they stared out at the beautiful sunset, which was painting the sky in deep shades of orange and pink. They both knew that in a few days they would have to head back to Steel City, where they would resume their hectic lives as scientist and restaurant owner, as Crimson Valkyrie and Galaxy, protectors of the city, but for now, they were just happy to be there together, getting lost in their love as the sun slowly faded into the horizon.
