Description This is the other decent picture I got at the same time as the broken snow flake ( [link] ). This one is very cropped though, because I just didn't get it from the right angle, which meant it's pretty much invisible without cropping (or looking at the really big version, but I didn't want to upload that).

Technical details:
Camera: Pentax *ist DS
Lens: Vivitar 100mm 1:1 macro, with +5 closeup lens
Shutterspeed: 2s
Aperture: f/13
ISO: 200 (the camera's minimum)
Natural light, no digital modifications other than cropping.

Thanks! Keep in mind though, this is very cropped - all the other snow flakes could have this much detail at this size too (or more); I just don't usually like cropping.

Haha, thanks! I take them with a good camera (Pentax *ist DS, though now I have a K20D), a 1:1 macro lens (Vivitar 100mm f2.8), a +5 closeup lens, a tripod... and a lot of patience and luck!
