Description
The baby togepi couldn't find its mother in the underbrush. It called out, but heard no reply. Just as it began to give up hope, a noise came to its ears; a mewing sound, almost a whisper on the wind. It didn't sound threatening, so the togepi moved to investigate. As it approached, the surroundings slowly began looking more familiar; these were the nesting grounds. If anything, at least the togepi had found its way home.

As it turned a corner in the path, and came to the togepi nesting grounds, and was met with a horrific sight. The baby's mother lay dead on the ground, and near her nest a strange creature was hovering a foot off the ground. It mewed as it picked one of the eggs out of the nest, and its horrific maw opened to engulf it. The baby togepi fell back in fear, alerting the creature to its presence. The creature's huge eyes rolled around to look at the helpless baby, and a terrifying grin spread across its withered face.

That was the last thing the togepi would ever see.

Weeeeell, I finally did it. I've done a monster-ized version of Mew.

This one was a lot of fun; just trying to figure out ways to make it freakier. Yeah, it's overboard, but that's the idea!

This is the fourth installment of a little series of drawings I'm doing - PokeMonsters - in which I'm drawing several of the original 150 pokeymanz in a scary, realistic style. I'm turning them into legitimate monsters!

Now, don't get me wrong, I absolutely hate the Pokemon series - games, anime, toys and all. I used to be a poke-fan, but I've only ever played the original GB games and probably about the first 1/3 of Pokemon Silver/Gold, and then I just got fed up with the whole thing. However, the original 150 pokeymanz still hold a special place in my heart, and I just think it'd be cool if we got to see what they'd look like if they were real monsters!

And yes, I call them pokeymanz. On purpose!
