This friday was "Femshep Friday." Basically, all the FemShep fans (myself included) bitched and moaned for a really long time about how FemShep wasn't represented in the marketing. We whined long enough and loud enough that they went on to really push FemShep. I think that's great. I watched that damn trailer like 10 times in an hour, I was super excited.
What ISN'T great is how so many fans are complaining because the new "default femshep" isn't quite what they wanted, because everyone has their own opinions of what's "right." And of course there are some maleshep fans who think FemShep is stupid, or a waste of resources or whatever. BioWare fans, I say this because I know you and I love you and I'm one of you: you can be, and often are, the whiniest, most infantile fans I have ever witnessed. You throw tantrums over little things that often won't affect you, you are incapable of having any sort of civil discussion, you ask for things that are insane and/or technologically not possible or reasonable, and you are, as a whole, incapable of gratitude. You clamor and cry and shout at BioWare to make you cookies, and when they show up with a big plate full of oatmeal raisin cookies that they slaved over, you throw the plate across the room and demand chocolate chip instead.
Now that that's out of the way! Basically, guys, we're all Shepards, so let's spread the love. We're all gonna customize our Shepards anyway. Nobody is forcing default Shepards on you.

If only there is a form of DLC for ME3 multi-player, where you can play your own custom shepard, with the weapons and armor sets/pieces they currently unlocked, and fight together, being inspired by this image and text

I think your efforts to make peace between fans is admirable but futile
Like Transformer fans there are countless parastic fans that care for nothing but oppressing others and pushing their views onto others no matter what. They are never satisfied until everyone listens to them and accepts their opinion as the soul one. The best thing to do is to just ignor their existence
but my point is you will never get everyone to work together. What was that Dark Knight quote?
"Some people are not looking for anything logical. They can't be bullied or bought. Some people just want to watch the world burn"
and Bioware has a huge amount of fans like this
So if it seems like i am criticizing your efforts i do not mean to and i apologize for that, if anything i think your efforts are noble and brave.. But again i believe it is an impossible cause. It is simple to say "agree to disagree" and even then people will hate each other but u will have peace. However that is not good enough for most Bioware fans, most Bioware fans do not care unless their view is dominant and everyone agree's with them and there are almost endless fans like this on any issue. Any character, any romance, any part of the story, the ending, gender of ur character. Anything u name it. It is possible Bioware's fan basis has become even more divided than Transformer's so i wish u luck with this task but you'll have to excuse me if i think it is an impossible one for all the reasons i said

sadly it is especially on this site. I hardly have to try looking on this site before running into one of the parasites trying to harass and abuse the rest of the community, err 'trolling them' to put it in internet language but to be blunt them try to opress others thinking their veiws are dominant and everyone else is wrong and inferior
Ironically it's like an internet Nazi Germany, i almost feel sorry for Bioware, that their fans are nothing but demons and parasites "Some people just want to watch the world burn" but i stopped caring for Bioware as well

I liked the base Jane Shepard, she was pretty. Like John is handsome.
I think of them as brother and sister, just ones a hero, the other is a completely unknown normal citizen somewhere in the universe.

I don't think I'm particularly whiny as I enjoy all the Bioware games and get a thrill straight down to my toes whenever one comes out, but I do resent that maleshep gets all the attention. Just a little. I'm a bitch like that. Mostly because Mark Meer has no concept of voice inflection, not because I'm sexist.
Still, good on you. We are all Shepards, male or female, and we got a planet to save.

I'm going to play with my customized FemShep and I'm happy just to have that trailer.
I think we fans tend to think that OUR Shepard is THE Shepard, and OUR choices are the BEST and whoever has chosen something different is an a***, but that Shepard it's just another one in the enormous community.

I never play as a woman in video games, just can't bring myself to do it most of the time, but I played through as a FemShep, and she became my Shepard. She was perfect, and I just couldn't bring myself to play as a guy anymore. To me, Shepard was a woman. Unfortunately she got erased somewhere along the line and I wanted to go back and play through again so I had a Shep for ME3. I made a male Shep, and I have learned to love him. He is amazing. But I still miss my FemShep, and to me she is still the only Commander Shepard that matters. To me.

You could always make a new femshep, unless time's an issue, which I can totally understand right now XD If you're playing on the PC you can find some femshep game saves that you can download and use as your own.
