Well okay so sniping is when a person bids right on the time an auction ends, this prevents anyone from bidding higher even if they wanted to because the bidding is technically over. Kind of an unfair means of winning.
A snip guard is something set to prevent this from happening. You could for example set a snip guard of 20 minutes. This means that the auction ends 20 minutes after the last bidder (after the time you set the auction to end).
