After reading up the diet of meerkats I just found out that they are the kind of animal that wouldn't mind sinking they're fangs into a raw kabob.
Speaking of meerkats, check this out! 
Apparently there is a Cafe in South Korea where customers can have they're coffee and cuddle with cute little meerkats ^^

But for some reason I really love this picture you made. Β I always thought the idea of Timon eating crunchy bugs all the time was presst gross. Β I had never known about mice being on the meerkat menu.
I like how they finish off a mouse family with the adults and the kits. Β I think my fav part is him and simba fighting over the one mouse pulling on its little body with their teeth like predators do. ^^
Reminds me of one time I saw a large heron catch and eat a mouse struggling to get away

Yea, but this is what meerkats eat anyway. They eat rodents, birds, small reptiles, fruit, scorpions, plants. So I just mixed them in with Timon. Plus this would help Simba have a better chance of surviving and he gets to eat meat and bugs.

I always thought of Timon and Pumbaa's insectavoreΒ behavior to be a choice like vegetarians or pescatarians in the human world since they are quite humanized anyway. In the Lion King 1 1/2 Timon expects Pumbaa to eat him but he finds out he's an insectivore so that helped lead me to this theory.Β
Having said that I still like this picture as it's different and does show natural meerkat behavior.

Hm that's interesting way to put it. Though I still prefer at least Timon eating meat. In my version Pumbaa is squeamish about eating other animals. There was even a lion king magazine story where it showed Pumbaa trying to act like a real warthog and he tries catching a mouse, but fails. So I think he would help Simba out by catching some of them. Or finding dead ones.
Plus that is also why I let Timon eat meat, it would help Simba out and he would have a little more logical way of survival XD but their main diet is still bugs though!

I hate how they portray Timon as just an insectivore. Meerkats are classified as carnivores but are actually omnivores. When Timon's great uncle said they were "grass intolerant" in Lion King 3, that's wrong. Meerkats do eat grass if they have too. Β
Anyhow, I love when people portray Timon with realistic meerkat behavior. Meerkats will pretty much eat anything that will not eat them first and that they can easily take down. I've also heard that captive meerkats LOVE bananas. I bet Timon would love to share bananas with Rafiki. The people behind Meerkat Manor bribe them with hard boiled egg to cooperate with them.

Yeah it's fun portraying him with a realistic behavior. I also think with Timon having eating habits like this, it would help Simba survive better rather than just eating bugs. ^^

I've unfortunately never got to read those magazines. Were they only available in certain countries? I probably would have had to have my mom read to them me at the time because I didn't really learn to read until about seven or eight.

Thank you so much! I was supposed to be doing homework but I got confused and gave up and am just going to ask my teacher to help me on Monday anyway. If he doesn't help me, I'm going to wonder what kind of school I'm going to. It is a non traditional school for people 22 and over who haven't gotten their GED or diploma, and they know (or at least it's in my records that I have dyscalculia www.understood.org/en/learning⦠) so you think they would help me. They sat down with me and helped me with English...but I don't have the same kinds of problems with English as I do with math. I probably wouldn't be in this kind of school in the first place if I didn't have these kinds of problems with math.)  Anyway, thank you for the link! It will help me get my mind off my math problem for a while.
