I hope somebody buys your work, too. You deserve it! I can say people buy my work, but not my drawing work. They buy my singing work! I suck at solos, but I'm extremely good for holding an alto or tenor part all on my own. I mean, sure, I can sing soprano, but I prefer the lower parts. That's where I stand out. Since there are no boys in our little Jazz Choir, we girls have to sing the low notes. I'm not half bad! Last year, I was beginning to think that my name was "You're off pitch again!", but I haven't been yelled at once this year! Hooray!

Yay! Singing really is a form of art, too! Ya, I am mostly a second soprano...

Being a second soprano is the hardest part, I think! I'm a second on... Two songs. Yeah, two songs, and it's terribly difficult. When I hear a chord and I'm a soprano, I sing the highest note because it's got to be mine. When I'm an alto or tenor, I sing the lowest, because it's most likely mine. But when I'm a second soprano, I can't pick out the middle note to save my life! It takes me three times longer to learn a song when I'm a second than when I'm an alto or soprano. Tough stuff! You must have a decent brain!

Nad what sucks is that half the seconds in my regular choir DON'T SING!! Do you KNOW how annoying that is? So, our teacher is always telling the 2nds they have to sing louder, and I am ready to blow a lung singing, while the girl in front of me continually talks to her friend!!! GRRRR! The sad thing is its the second highest choir in the school, out of...10? Yah...way to go motivation.

I hated Concert Choir (Anybody can be in there) because stupid people wouldn't participate and dragged down the choir. Jazz Choir in my school is pretty exclusive. You have to have been in one year of Concert Choir at least, and then do a solo tryout in front of the teacher (She's a seriously tough cookie! If she thinks you suck, she'll say so! She makes people cry...). Bunches of people try out, and only two or three new people make it in a year, and that's only because two or three graduate a year. This year we have two newbies. I'm so glad I'm not new anymore! Anyway, the Jazz Choir has a high level of enthusiasm because only the most talented and cooperative (I got chosen more for my work ethic and cooperation than my actual singing talent) singers can be in it. Way more fun than stupid Concert Choir!

Yeah...we have a choir like that too...its called Echoes. Only....10 people make it, I think....and usually all of them are seniors because its so hard to get in! But, all of them have a different part, usually! Their songs are REALLY amazing! They went to Japan last year...ah, how I wish I could have gotten a cheap ticket to Japan again!

I don't really like to travel, unless it's with my family. I almost didn't go to Mexico with the Jazz Choir last year (They all thought I was crazy!) because nobody in there likes me and I'm always alone. They're all great friends and I'm the loser nobody talks to. Why would I want to spend three days with them? And, since we had to be in groups of three minimum, that meant that at least two of them would be stuck with me at all times. Then, my Grandma and cousin booked the same cruise, and I stayed with them the whole time and only was with the choir to eat and perform on the cruise. It was great! The few times I had to be with the choir outside of that, they said they would wait and left me behind, all alone. I almost cried! I get the feeling it's going to be similar this year...

Ah...I know the feeling. I was in band last year, and even in a group of 80 or so peeps, none really even bothered to get to know me, and all always excluded me. At the end of the year, we were supposed to go on a five day trip to Washington DC, but I opted out...I didn't wanna go around all alone or in a group that didn't want me! I would have had a horrible week! Now, my band teacher hates me, and I'm so glad that I'm not even in band this year! Baka people~ besides, they are now missing a good French Horn player...HA!

I'm SUPPOSED to be able to play the piano in order to be in Jazz Choir, but I can't. She can bite me! Where am I supposed to fit Piano class into my busy schedule? I'm also supposed to be Concert Choir to be in Jazz Choir, but I'm not this semester because it won't fit, either. If there were nineteen periods a day, I could fit everything. But there's only seven, one of which is my early bird, Jazz Choir, which is before normal school. Growl...

I had to take PE my freshman year, but never again (I'm a Junior now). Thank goodness! I only got two and a half electives this year, and I picked Jazz Choir, Spanish III, and half a semester of Concert Choir. Everything else is required classes.

I like Spanish a lot! When I went to Mexico, it was awesome to watch my Grandma and cousin's eyes get all big as I spoke to the people with my Spanish, and we understood each other! That felt so good. I was able to ask questions about how they made their wares and tell the shop keepers what sorts of things I was looking for so they could pull them out of the back. I got my hair braided by two girls who barely spoke a word of English, and I asked them in Spanish the things Grandma wanted to know. Yay! Have you ever been anywhere where Spanish might have come in handy?

I have been to Mexico...but mostly why I don't like Spanish is that last year, my first year of Spanish, I had a HORRIBLE teacher, who didn't even teach us how to pronounce things, was really mean, and didn't do over half the things that were on the finals! It SUCKED! And now, I suffer in Spanish 2 because I can't understand! I would have to RETAKE the entire class to really understand it...ah well...I think I am getting it....slowely...

Good luck en tu clase de espanol. Classes are only fun when you have a decent teacher! That's why I love choir and hate *hisses* science!
