Didn't take me as long as I thought it would to finish. Tried out a different way of coloring, using only one dark and one light variation for each color and using the watercolor and brush tools to get every shade between. That's actually a very natural way of doing things if you've done traditional painting.The eyes are my favorite part

i think my favorite part is the black part over his muzzle. its almost like a mask, accept that it dosent cover all of his face, which is cool!

The stripe is one of my favorite parts of her design (Yep, it's a she, though you're not the first to get confused). I don't even remember why I started it, but I can't draw her without it nowadays

She's cute c: I like the coloring, I can tell there's a slight furry texture but it also looks really soft and pretty. I especially like the lighting on the character's forehead, I don't know why XD
It would be cool if there was a background on this or something, to show where the light was coming from. With the soft, slightly gold-colored lighting, I imagine maybe she's watching a sunrise C:

I'm really glad to hear that about the coloring, because that's what I was going for! In the past when I've tried to shade fur, I've ended up over-shading and ending up with a mess.
As for the background, on the lineart I'd mentioned that I intended for this to be a sort of ID picture, or even a con badge if I print it out, so I never really considered giving it a real background. I really do need to work on them though...

Yeah, my fur and hair coloring always looks really crappy. :C Yours looks nice, though!
And sorry, I didn't even look to see if there was an explanation for that. Backgrounds really aren't too bad, they just take as much practice as anything else.
