Okay. Not to get everyone confused as to which category I submitted this under- this is also 'fan art' but the correct thing I had to put it under was 'photomanipulation' (and there goes my secret. )I should really get back into proper photo manipulations... I miss it.

I have, I dip my toes in occasionally. It's a bit of a side-hobby of mine, so, only when I really feel the urge and when I can really see it in my head. I'm working on another one at the moment. c:

Nope. It's not. It is a photo of myself which I photomanipulated. It just ended looking like a painting.

Sure. I took the photo with my mother's camera set on that macro setting (I believe it is called that). Then in photoshop I duplicated the original, then smoothed out the skin with the cloning tool, healing brush and smudge brush. I was able to remove pimples, freckles etc this way. I lassoed the pupils, copied and pasted onto another layer. Changed the hue and worked it into the layer below. I merged the two layers and duplicated again. Here I Went to fix the hair, using healing brush and clone tool and smudge brush. Duplicating the layer once again I worked on the shadows and lighting with the doge and burn brushes. Duplicated the layer again once I was pleased with the outcome. From here I went into curves, fiddled with the lighting. Then went into saturation as it came out slightly too colourful for my taste. Saved and uploaded.
