Description
Humanity has reached a population of 10 billion in the year 2050. Energy consumption continues to skyrocket with industrial waste being one of its side effects. Man sits on top of a pile of consumer waste in the Los Angeles canal contemplating his corporate life and the changing environment around him.
Sources of inspiration - industrial waste, human influence on environment, brutalism, the statue of The Thinker for the main subject, and the soundtrack from Vanilla Sky ( www.youtube.com/watch?v=-S_S3Uβ¦) which I think fits nicely.
Photos used for the sky and the river stream are my own. The rest is 3D.

This is so thought provoking. I really like how you've brought so many current issues in with The Thinker. Would you be interested in having Global Annihilation 2050 - Los Angeles River feature as a writing prompt in a writing app called Daily Prompt? Hit me up on discord, It's too difficult to explain each step since I have to show images. In short, it's very similar to Vioxtar's approach, but I also use a bit of the accented edge filter at 25%. The idea is to do as much work in photoshop at the higher resolution before rescaling it down to 4k from 6k (poster 3, which is the maximum res I go for). Also there's the duplicate layer at 25% opacity with basic film grain and lens blur using alpha passes which has to also be done at the 6k res. Just pm me on discord, too long and difficult to explain without images.
