Somehow, this turns -somewhatly- into UK/Viet. You're welcome.
Though I'm not really trying to promote the couple actually. It was something that I decided at the last minute due to the fact because I was curious why people were shipping Vietnam with England even though they're not really canon (then again, most people shipped with Vietnam are cracked according to the manga and anime of Hetalia-- even AmeViet because their relationship is now shown in the manga or the anime. Thailand, Macau, and maybe some of the Hetalia girls are probably the only thing canon-wise really....). So I typed in 'Britain and Vietnam relations' in google and found some interesting articles in concern towards their long economic-wise friendship. 40 years of it actually.

This is how I imagined they became friends-- through their shared values (i.e. their shared feelings of annoyances towards France and -sometimes- China). There's a reason why I bolded that part.

I would imagine England admiring her strength against 'the frog' and China while being a tsundere while at it. XD

The bet between Monaco and Macau? It's just a fun little thing they decided to do knowing what they neighbors are doing (France and China) and seeing how they're pretty close to Vietnam (though they probably did take it a bit seriously, seeing that they don't like to lose when it comes to gambling in the first place, but it's a pretty friendly bet since there is no money or trades involved).

Basically, both placed their bets on when Vietnam would find that that China is exclusively selling her childhood (and pre-teen) pictures to France.
Monaco, who knows France well enough, though that the man would last for a long while, considering that France could be sneaky when he wants to be.
Macau argued that it would be less than the time she had bet on. The deciding factor shouldn't be France's and China's ability to be sneaky. It should be Vietnam's sixth sense when it comes to her previous invaders (not to mention Taiwan's and Hong Kong's willingness to rat their old teacher out).

As you can see, Macau won. Yay Macau!

As you can see, all transaction are made in Canada. Canada didn't see anything wrong or suspicious with it considering there is no one harmed (or sexually harrassed) in the process, but once he figured out that China has been selling pictures of Vietnam to France, Canada made sure to apologize for not stopping it anytime sooner (isn't he sweet? Canada's adorable >.<).
