Lovely as all your artworks, however to say this is one girl represents the entire continent of Africa is a real miss I think, it seems like she was an after thought because you were working on "world beauties" so you just had to add a black female? However, I do love love love your unique style its very painterly yet realistic at the same time. So pretty your whole gallery is just really fantastic!

interesting comment but a bit off the mark because she was the 4th in the series and painted for a dear friend, purposely so with the head scarf and the flower and the giraffe so I can absolutely state she was carefully planned, desired and is in no way shape or form an obligatory afterthought or intending to represent the entire continent, what painting could do that by the way for such a complex beautiful continent, little me would not even presume to try...
But if you do not like her, that is fine, not everybody has to like my paintings or this painting

Oh I am very much a fan of your artwork but this is common problem with people....It's no knock on your artwork or thought process..but the name of the artwork seems dismissive and a little hurtful, compared to any other in the series.. that's all..but take heart that most people don't know the difference, or care to know the difference between a continent or a country or its people. Hey ignorance is bliss!

I've fallen soooo far behind on commenting! I love all the ones in this series, my sweet friend, but this one most of all. The colors, the light, the mood... usually I focus in on your marvelous details but this one just the entire thing is sooo perfect! Well done!
