So, this is a part of an AU I've been wanting to explore for some time.
What if Scamp stayed with Buster and the other dogs in the junkyard?

In this AU, everything is the same up until Tramp confronts Scamp about stealing the food from their 4th of July family picnic and wanting him to come home. Scamp leaves with junkyard pack and Angel leaves after he reveals her secret of wanting to be a part of a human family. Buster's plan was to use Scamp to get back at Tramp, and he has succeeded in hurting his old friend. However, instead of setting Scamp up to be captured by the dog catcher, he keeps the young pup around to see what would become of him. Scamp grows into a young adult and his time under Buster's rule shows. The Doberman was not as charismatic and 'kind' to him as he was the other dogs - he still saw Scamp as the son of his enemy and was willing to take his anger and pain out on the pup instead of his father. Scamp becomes bitter, a bit of a scrapper, and resents Buster with time. He often wonders about his family, but knows there's no going back now. They wouldn't even have recognized him anymore.
Angel goes to Scamp's family after she leaves the Junkyard dog pack as a pup, and she spends some time with them. She stays in their dog house at night, and Jim Dear and Darling are never the wiser. When a neighbor spots Angel and asks the couple if they had gotten a new dog, they claim they have no idea where Angel came from. The neighbor, a woman with a young preteen daughter, says that she will take Angel in and give her a home. Angel is happy to finally have a family, and grows up alongside Scamps sisters; Annette, Colette, and Danielle.
Tramp never does quite get over the 'loss' of his son. A few times he does contemplate going to the junkyard and confronting him, but he knows that it would only cause a bigger rift in their relationship and Scamp would only have more reason to stay away. Lady begs her mate to reconsider, but she also knows that it may only cause issues. In time, both parents know it's Scamp's decision alone to stay there or come home. Would he remain there for good?
