Description The Atlantic swell was increased by the high tide and the gales producing massive explosions where the wave hit the rocks. This was about 15 meters. See the seagull on the right of the explosion.

Your photos of Ireland are fabulous!!! Makes me want to schedule a new trip. I really love the west coast. It is so unique and I have experiences the Cliffs of Mohr in bright August sun and the foggy haze of March...I will be watching

The amazing thing is the waves are quite small until they hit a rock... then wham... straight up!!:shamrock;

I know right? I love how waves can do that, especially in the place where I live. Sometimes at high tide when it is the night, they sound like thunder when they hit the rocks! it sometimes startles me, but I find it so powerful~

Whoa, how fantastic. One of the best wave pictures I've ever seen. Poor bird almost got taken out, haha, but yeah really give a sense of the size of this thing. Incredible shot! What an explosion.
