"Once again, the kingdom of heaven is like a net that was let down into the lake and caught all kinds of fish. When it was full, the fishermen pulled it up on shore. Then they sat down and collected the good fish in baskets, but threw the bad away." (Matthew 13:47-48)

From the parable about wheat, we know that they will have to suffer the presence of weeds. Among the sheep there will be wolves. This is talking about INSIDE the church itself, within the 'people of God' aka the kingdom of heaven. There are genuine followers of God who seek to please him by sharing their life with him, refraining from sin and doing the things he loves.

Then there are posers and hypocrites who criticise others and put all the burden on them while not do anything good themselves. Such people misunderstand God and misrepresent him. But the 'bad' will be 'thrown away'. Simply put, they won't be part of the kingdom.
Everyone gets a free invitation to heaven because of what Jesus has done on our behalf: he removed our sin and reconciled our relationship with God. A good way to think about it is that the doors of the kingdom are ALREADY open and people are ALREADY inside. 'The kingdom is coming and has now come'! We're not waiting for the doors to open.. we're expecting them to close. And that's not exactly the best time to realise which side of the door you were standing on..
