I've heard someone say, "Hell won't be that bad. My mates are all going to hell too so we're just gna hit the pub together and party for the rest of eternity." There's an obvious misconception here.. things go really wrong when we try to label what is good and bad. Remember what Adam and Eve's forbidden fruit was called? (Genesis 2:17)
All good things come from, you guessed it, God.
a) Friendship is a good thing, from God, so it won't exist in Hell.
b) Alcohol is a good thing. Jesus turned water into wine so drinking isn't a sin, but being drunk enough to hurt others is. No alcohol in Hell.
c) Parties are a good thing. Judaism is the religion with the most feasts and festivals. God actually commands his people to party all year round! Hell definitely won't be a party.

So what IS Hell like?
[[ Fiery furnace ]] - Put your hand over an open flame for 5 seconds. You won't and you can't because it's way too painful. Despite our reluctance to talk about Hell, God has been reminding his people to preach it for over two millennia.. No one can say they weren't warned.
[[ Weeping ]] - Remember that time we were like ‪#‎YOLO‬ ? We'll wish we understood it differently. This is not a sorrow that leads to repentance.. this is a sorrow void of humanity and reason. You'd be bawling and spewing because all you're concerned with is yourself, and all you can feel is constant, self-absorbed misery. Nasty.
[[ Gnashing of teeth ]] - Anger and grudge beyond comprehension. You're gonna blame everyone else for everything.

The question already sets up the premise that we know that there is Good, and that there is Evil. It's not all relative, there are many things that are inherently evil, always. God has a long history of using people's sin to achieve his purposes, but he never encouraged or permitted it because Sin is never Good. It's crystal clear : God is good, Sin is bad. Want examples?
A good God delights in Love. Our sin twists it into self-indulgent lust, personal satisfaction, idolatry or loveless apathy.
