Description Pip again! A photo to show how much he has grown!!!

Not sure if he is a he actually - he went through this stage where he was acting like a female and his nose hasn't got a solid colour. I think he is a she - in which Pip will be Pippa.

Pip is a runner budgie and cannot grow functioning flight feathers. He is just like any other budgie - maybe even cuter because he looks like a pengun! More information and a older photo of Pip can be found here: [link]

Sometimes its so hard to sex budgies. I got two males from the pet shop once, only to find out years later that I actually had a boy and a girl. O.o

Yes! I haven't had any trouble before now though. Every other bird has been easy! I think you told me about that! I remember my childhood budgie was a female, but she ended up a he.

I think our budgies like to catch us unaware!
The sexing problem only happened to me once. Its nice to find out new things about them though. ^_^ Just glad I didn't try to mate the budgies together at the time!

I had sexing problems with my bunnies in NZ Not a good mistake to make when you already have 10000000 You are!! But I'm sure you would have appreciated little babies!! Cause they are uber cute when they are just about to leave the box!

Oh may! I know bunnies breed like crazy so that must of been... tricky for you.
I have heard that their feathers are all over the place and that they are really fluffy when they just leave the box.

This is a female. Females have white/light blue noses, that turn brown when they are in a breeding mood. Males have dark blue or dark pink noses.

Thank you. Pippa must be a slow maturer because she has given me a lot of trouble. Previously I've had no trouble. o.O

Not sure but my female budgies got their noses white when they was looking forward to get pregnant x3. Maybe he/she is still young and because of it has no color (?).

Yeah, Pippa was about 1, maybe 1 1/2 months old when this was taken. Very little ! I'm pretty sure she is a she now.

Pippa is mostly white. She has a bit of pale violet on the top of her tale and belly. But she has the most gorgeous brown markings I call her my little owl 'cause her markings look like an owls.

But it's never really certain until you either do a blood test to see which gender it is, or if you see the budgie "in action", if you catch my drift. That's basically how you know how it is

I'll just need to be patient and wait for her/his nose to change.

Yeah, I've got my bets on a female now. My male, Meeko, likes to give her attention.
