Link to Decembersville --> [link] Link to my TUMBLR --> [link] You know what? It's highly obvious that Decembersville is not going to updated for quiiiiite a while. There's no escaping the fact, gentle creatures n' spongers.
So I am illustrating whatever I want now that I would like to share that are kinda like hints or peeks at future chapters and ideas. Here is Sophia and Count Merry-go-Round. C:
For those of you who don't know the reference, it's a funny little hint to the Japanese classic tale "Lone Wolf and Cub" which features a samurai pushing his child in a carriage. I just thought it'd be fun to draw.
Draw your own conclusions or whatever, yo.

Nah, those specifically are just random glasses they found and decided to keep. Merry thought Sophia looked "more hip" in them, so she kept them instead. XD

Heheheheheheheheh~ No worries. According to the canon comics I've been releasing and stuff, they wind up becoming friends and he gets pretty protective of her. Still hates humans, but just not her. XD

i have a question about your vampires though. can he turn you into one? like, when he bit her, it just made her go all limp and paralized.

Well, in the Decembersville story's universe, vampires work a weeeee bit differently. His fangs have a lot of functions: they can paralyze (like what he did to Sophia) with a sort of toxic in his teeth, they can puncture steel with their teeth, they can drain venom out of your bloodstream, bite you and make you their mind slave, all that jazz. He can turn you into a vampire if you are already dead (meaning he could kinda raise the dead, now that I think about it) - BUT you will be forced to be his vampire puppet and lose your will entirely.
Meaning he could have bitten Kerasell when she was dead, but she would have become a lifeless and soul-less drone.
And he could bite a bunch of corpses and make them into his servants and stuff... buuuuut he thinks it is "gross" and he prefers his privacy. XD

I really really want to try out your sketching style sometime. Or just really your general method of going from sketch to finish in works like these; there's just something so special about it considering the blue underlines. It's like seeing the sketch layer incorporated with the lineart
Also it's so much fun just seeing how you're getting more and more variation in facial types and hands, since one can see how much softer Sophia's hand are than Merry's :'D

Count Merry is balancing that umbrella on his shoulder like a pro.
No seriously this doodle is absolutely adorable. I just love Merry's expression for some reason, also how his legs are bent as he floats around. It's horribly amusing!
Also Sophia looks very sweet as well! I really like how you drew her hands. I wonder what's so special about those Sunglasses? Either I have to re-read all of Decembersville to rekindle my memory (goodness that might take a while!) or wait patiently to see what comes up next! C:
