this is what ancient Appletun looked like, they just take on that appearance when Gigantamaxed, G-Max Appletun has a decorated tart shell with floating bubbles of apple juice, of course it can attack opponents by launching the acidic apple juice bubbles in which it explodes releasing the nectar, it can spew a laser-like blast of radioactive nectar, spring out it's worm-like acidic tongue to grab, slam and burn opponents, lastly it can generate a devastating flood of sticky corrosive apple juice.
it's signature G-Max Move is G-Max Sweetness, it involves Giga Appletun generating a gigantic bubble of highly-energized and acidic apple juice which then drops into the landscape, the bubble violently bursts with an acid blast of nectar, it results in a sweet and energetic malic mist that heals Appletun and it's allies of their status effects.

I will never understand why Game Freak thought giving Flapple & Appletun the same Gigantamax design was a good idea. I mean say what you will about the Mega Evolutions for Latias & Latios at least they kept their eye color & height difference.

maybe, but there is also the serpetine dragon pattern at the top of the tart shell.
