as Kyogre is based on not just Leviathan but an Orca, which is technically a Dolphin, its the only "dolphin" pokemon in the franchise yet, there is still no official normal dolphin Pokemon outside of Fakemon.

Very true! Surprised we haven't gotten one yet honestly. Cetaceans are something I wish Pokemon would tackle more often, I think there's only the 3. c:

with Vaporeon (it has a few features similar to the Kutchicetus, a primitive whale), Lugia (resembles a mix of the Ryujin and the Beluga whale), the Wailmer/Wailord line, and Kyogre, i think its only 4 cetacean Pokemon.
however there is the pokemon Lanturn, it seems that Lanturn vaguely resembles a dolphin (its head) while having the features of an anglerfish, so it gets a bit confusing.

That's definetly a neat way to look at Vaporeon. I know in my redesigns I was inspired a lot by baleen whales for my Lugia, and I did try to give Lanturn some mammalian features. c:
Still, with how iconic the bottle-nose dolphin is in popular culture I'm surprised they haven't made an appearance in Pokemon.

the god of the sea who manipulates Earth's oceans, Kyogre!, this Leviathan can summon a global rainstorm and bring a global flood on the entire planet that can even cover Mt. Everest, and in its Primal Reversion it can use Origin Pulse, which involves forming many glowing orbs of water at the highest deep sea pressures then launching it at the victim, along with high-pressurized beams of water, Kyogre might even breathe water from hydrothermal vents and brine to attack foes.
speaking of its redesign its very awesome, with the additional eyes and the markings giving it an "ancient lifeform" look, albeit it doesn't have the tron-like markings anymore, but i guess Kyogre will get more lovecraftian and nightmarish once you do the Primal Kyogre redesign.
