Description
A creature that inspires feelings of both calm and dread, the Minokawa floats by slowly, its giant frame able to cover the Moon as it gently crosses the sky. During the day, their shadows cloak the land beneath them, and at night their many eyes beam out lights that pierce through darkness. Their eyes roam the landscape, and even creatures hiding between realms can be seen in their spotlight. Like the majority of Hiraeth's bizarre metal creatures, their motives are hazy, but the Minokawa has no qualms with creatures on the ground, and only comes down to drink and feed on minerals. They look like lost airships from afar when they perch on mountainsides, but the Minokawa moves on its own volition.
With its gentle pace and trail of colourful vapour that wisps in the wind, observing one from afar can almost be beautiful, but the romanticism is lost once you're in the air with one. Once an airship enters its space, the Minokawa is said to give chase, and ram them out of the sky. They let loose a barrage of flame and shrapnel from their mouth that absolutely devastates opposing crafts, making them akin to the mighty dragons of the south. Some have said the Minokawa can fly into the cosmos, around the Moon, and back into Hiraeth, but many pilgrims and clerics see this theory as abhorrent. Rumours from venturing knights say they fly from across the sea, their birthplace being a metal garden beyond the reaches of common travellers.
