I like your style! And this one is really nice, his face is really well proportioned and the colors look really good together!

Thanks alot ^^
I actually drew this thing once and did everything regarding facial anatomy wrong. So i redid the whole thing and this time i used references and gudelines. So thats whgy it´s probably a bit better in some regards like the skin (even if i could´ve invested some hours more into it B) ). Also my last painting had this unfortunate yellow bouncelight which came from everywhere. In this one i have red bouncelights making the skin look more natural i guess.
My hype for fe14 is kinda ridiculous, but well the wait till it comes out will be tedious -__-

Ahh drawing faces without refs can be so hard. (Even though I know this, I usually don't... and then the portrait takes way longer than it should XD ). Have you ever considered coloring skin with the faux finish/ natural brushes (assuming you use photoshop)? They can be hard to handle, but if used correctly, they're good for adding those red accents and hiding the direction of your brushstrokes.
I'm excited for the double plot in fe14 (I'm definitely going Nohr first!), but I'm also really afraid that they're going to take the S-rank marrying support stuff too far for the sake of fanservice. .__. But I will let it have the benefit of the doubt. I hope you don't mind me making this thread... thing in the comments.

Yeah it´s the same for me, i should use refs or at least guidelines every time... but well i never fricking do it >_> I actually have no clue what these "faux finish" or "natural" brushes are supposed to be, so no i cant say i considered using them (i use ps indeed). I mainly use my chalk brush for coloring, round brush for lineart and one of my skin-bruses for... well skin (only if i want to get ultra detailed thou).
Hehe i´m actually intending to go Hoshido first, mainly because i dont want to start with the more "complex" thing as the other campaign will than just be bland in comparison (at least i fear that), also Hoshido has Hinoka : 3 I actually doubt they´ll take the marriage thing too far as it seems that kids wont be a thing in fe14. I wouldnt mind if they spend a bit more time developing the dialogue for the marriages thou as some felt really ricking odd. Ah i dont comment threads at all^_^ I actually kinda love having someone to talk to in terms of art and fire emblem : D

I see. Well, the faux finish and natural brushes are just textured brushes, but seeing as you have skin brushes, you should be good to go. I mostly use the hard rounds with textured brushes for details/textures.
When you put it that way, it makes a lot more sense to go Hoshido first (though I'm sure both are interesting). For some reason, I was operating under the assumption that I was only going to play one game ... but who am I kidding??? There is almost no doubt that I will eventually get both. XD There's a lot of hype around Tsubaki, too, because he's the first male peg knight, ever.
I didn't hear about the no children part, which is okay, I guess... I don't see how we could fit them into the plot like they did in fe:a. I also hope they spend more time with the supports; supports are really one of the game's main selling points. You probably played as male MU for fe:a, but as far as weird conversations go, nothing tops female MU and Frederick's S support, in my opinion.
(also, I'm glad you don't mind. I will chat away, then! ^^ ; )

I actually hope they´ll release both games as one in the west. Nintendo made discounts for the west before to get them into their japanese based franchises (they did that with monster hunter for example). Either way if the limited edition containing all three routes is available i´ll get that one^_^ i wasnt as hype for anything ever as i am for this game, so spending some bucks more will be perfectly fine for me.
I actually didnt know tsubaki would be a pegasus knight, thats actually really fricking cool^_^
The no children part isnt for sure, but i had a discussion with a group of fire emblem fans and we came to the conclusion that it´s highly likely that the feature wont be in, even if it was really great from a gameplay perspective. But i´ll be satisfied as long as i can ship my favorites : 3 And yeah, they really should expand on the supports. And even though i´ve played a few playthroughs with a female mu i never got the s rank with frederick, but i can guess it´s glorious XD

Haha rest assured, the amount of data in total has no influence on lag. It´s all down to how much has to get processed at the time. And since the graphics stay the same, this amount wont go up. Loading could take maye a few seconds longer, but that only while starting the game so no worries : D
