This comic is based onΒ this call Β from Papyrus!Let's say that building in the first panel is the core ok? (I really suck at drawing buildings! T_T)
Anyway, I have a theory:
I have a feeling that something is bothering Papyrus about the core! And that means that he might knows...
Gaster!
DUN DUN DUUUUUUUNNNN!!!!!
Ok, some of you might say that he is sad, because you are near to the castle, which means that you will leave from the underground. So..., when you are about to enter the core, isn't he supposed to have a similar react before you enter? He just said good luck and that's all! He didn't say that he will miss you and stuff like that!
I think Papyrus gets sad, because he might have a bad memory about the core, like Gaster's "death"? I'm not sure about that, but I think that's why Papyrus is really sad in the video above!
But hey, that's just a theory! A GAME THEORY!!

Btw, I was kinda bored, when I was drawing the comic! That's why it's a bit messy! >w> I tried to make Frisk and Papyrus to look anime-ish style! I'm so happy how Papyrus came out, but Frisk.... I better not talk! >:/
Also, I'm planning to make this comic as an animation in the future! ^^

I actually saw some people on tumblr discussing a lot about this call and you drew it out! Amazing! They were not the only ones to notice ^^

They actually did discuss it to the point, that maybe Gaster fell in the core because of an conveyor belt accident that was Papyrus fault and that is why the core makes him sad and he hates conveyor belts! But they also decided that this was a little too farfetched XD

I wasn't sure on which blog it was, because I look at a couple blogs who are Papyrus fans and theorize a lot about him. It was probably Papyrus Talk... I can give you the link if you want. They all reblog messages between them, so the other blogs are bound to show up.

That is amazing! You're so good at drawing with pencils. I love the shading, it works so effectively with the drawings. Especially the red lighting on Frisk.
