= Full View =Once again, not really sure that this deserves to be in my gallery as apposed to scraps. But I shall put it here for now.
- This is actually quite an old sketch that I did at work last summer, just never really got around to doing anything with it

I really like the grittiness of this piece... and his patchy hobo coat... makes it feel very hoboey.

i know you probably used airbrushes and watercolors, but what filters went into play here? or blending options?

Hmm . . . Well I just colored with the default round brush in PS.
- All of the flat colors are normal layers. I think I took down the opacity on some of them so they would fall into the background more. And then the texture overlay is on the multiply blending mode. However, I did mask out the skin areas to help bring them out.
- - The final "lighting" thing I did was to flatten the image and then duplicate it so I had another copy. I then played with the levels to brighten it up a little bit and then masked in the spot light like area around him to bring him out a bit more.

Well, I wouldn't say I did a lot of masking, only twice to help bring out the character. And I only used multiply on the layer that had the scratchy texture in it. ^^
