For =ClefairyKid 's 1000 Watchers Celebration Contest .
I used a Portrait Stock Reference provided by the wonderful *Reine-Haru .
This is soft pastels and charcoal on Canson pastel paper. C:
Yes, I started my rainbow with purple. It is backwards.
...now I just need to wash the rainbow dust off my desk.

Holy feck that is incredible. I think it'd be incredibler still if the colours changed slightly more gradually when they got to the green yellow orange bit. They don't look as much like part of the face as the purple and blue bit. The profile and lines are super-amazing.

I've never really used soft pastels much, but I like how smooth they are! Maybe I'll get to use them sometime.
