Description This is going to be the river-front area of our town. As you can see it's in the early development stages with only the river-side wall being done (DARK1337 did an awesome job on that). DARK's garden that's on the corner will most likely get moved since i've had plans for a warehouse-crane-dock setup on that corner for some time. Also, the bridges in the wall and in the town are great, so thx again to DARK for those. lastly, you can finally see what the back side of the cathedral looks like in its finished state.

Well, you've inspired me. Given me my first step. I've been wanting to build a city since I began my minecraft addiction, but something has always been holding me back, I'm not really sure what it is. Probably the fact that it is a monstrous task that will take much time and might not turn out well. Anyway, for some reason though this pic caused something to break, and now I'm ready to go go go! Of course, the night that I viewed your pic and was ready to take my first step, the server that is my home tore itself to bits. The universe is funny sometimes. Thank God for off site backups

haha, yeah no kidding, i had a time like that. about 1/2 my town turned into swamp biome when the power went out while i was running my server. the crash corrupted a ton of my world so I had to reboot back to my last save. fortunately I didn't lose any major new builds or anything.

We had the same thing! The server is out in the country so power is not the best. Got my buddy to put it on a ups. Once again, the day was saved thanks to backups.

Oh,yeah sorry.
So just a question, does your server accept unliscenced copies?
Because I can't purchase this game at the moment... :/

i don't know how that works to be honest... like i dont know how purchased vs. unlicensed games interact if at all. I don't support using unlicensed copies of the game, but if you figure out what needs to be done to make them work together let me know

I love your town.
Did you make it yourself or with others?
Is it on a multiplayer server?

my god.....This is a perfect example of why I argue that Minecraft has become a medium of art itself.

haha thanks, i would totally agree. for me especially it's great because i love building w/ legos however they're VERY expensive these days so yeah, minecraft is much better for that sorta thing

HAHAHA!!! I have yet to find one person who liked legos as a child and didn't like minecraft. They all have the same reason they like it too... "It's like legos!"

thanks! your cathedral is good too, i like your choice of sandstone a lot, it feels sort of like notre dame looking at it from the outside, and the height of the indside of your cathedral... way to use that height limit
