Description It was.

______________

A sort of follow up to the other picture of the fox and his cub, though really chronologically taking place before that.

I can’t pinpoint exactly what causes this, but I don’t like the way his face turned out in this coloured version. Somehow I lost the expression he had in the sketch. I gave up trying to fix it after awhile.

EDIT:
I decided to use the critique feature. If you have some advice/critique, write it there or in the comments, it doesn't matter to me.

...It was. Seems as though I overlooked a good portion of your gallery. time to fix that. Of course this is the type of art I miss seeing from you. The powerful and self explanatory sort.

A) Culpeofox is right, you're definitely worth keeping an eye on!

B) The only actual critique I could give this is that the outlines are a bit too harsh. The anatomy, fur effects and shading are excellent, but it does get a bit dominated by symmetry and geometry. And no, I'm not an artist, and yes, I'm absolutely mystified at how artists can do so much with some simple lines, but as a fan, I think your main issue with this is being able to "fuzz" the edges a bit more while maintaining integrity.

Thanks for the critique. I often get a more broken "fuzzy" look in the sketch, but I'm still working on translating that into the colouring itself.

Too bad it didnt turn out the way you liked, but I think it is still well done.

Your shading is good and I like the way you did the fur.

May I ask what medium this is? I want to say colored pencil or pastels?

Pencil Crayons/coloured pencils or whatever you want to call them.

This is quite nice. It's disappointing when the finished product doesn't turn ouy how you imagined, but I think his expression looks great.

There's just something about the top of his head that makes him seem less sympathetic somehow. I think it's how I coloured his sort of "head fluff"

Anyway, thanks for the fave. And more importantly, thanks for actually taking the time to comment too.

Maybe...but the eyes and mouth definately show emotion.

And you're welcome!

You don't like the face? I think it looks quiet god specialy the shading I really like how you draw fur because it looks very naturaly (right?)
'nuff said xD Really a nice picture

Huh, I thought I had responded to this a while ago. Weird.\
Anyway,

Thanks.

Anyway, "natural" would be a better word, if that's what you were asking when you said 'right?'

epic shading and colour, proportions around the head and chest seem a bit off tho.

BEAUTIFUL!!!!!

Don't let it be her... This really reminds me of the part I just read in Hunter's Moon where... um... you know. I don't want to give any spoilers to and who I am trying to convince to read it too! It is very insightful into the life of a fox!

I will post a more formal critique later so that this totally useless feature of your subscription does not go unused! But you should know that I think that this is a really good drawing, and also think that the deep colors are wonderful!
