This a demon rising into being, so hes not fully developed in this scene. This one looks a little more raw than my other work...probably because I didnt shade it and I left the pencil work in.Related content

Honestly im really in love with the effect that pencil work and ink gives, its more full and living then cleaned up ink work. Seeing an owl mixed with roots, ferns and rodents makes it look great too! Or maybe im seeing things.
Its sad for me to see that after so many years (didnt seem THAT long ago when this was considered a new piece....) theres still little comments on this piece. Its simple and not as "eye catching" (well to me its VERY eye catching but maybe not to others) but it is still so amazingly wonderful.
It may not seem like it (since its just recently that im commenting on your works) but i have been watching your work evolve throughout the years (coughimnostalkercoughcough) and its just wonderful to see you've come so far, even after how amazing your works are at this early stage haha

Nice, beautiful creature, (obviously in a grotesque way xD) It really amazes me how you actually come up and think of these one of a kind beings and present them in such a killer way.
Its like, its all exact, you know? knowing where to use the bolder and thicker lines/shades and likewise thinner and lighter.
Love the sorta furry effect and the idea of roots at the base. It's still growing and sucking in the moisture and minerals, (did you intend this?)
This guy reminds me of an owl crossed with a tree, (no idea how that would work?)
There isn't really a benchmark design for what a newborn demon would look like. I think everyone who sees this can really take a lot from it creatively and influence their own demon designs 
Its very stylish and I like it.
(Just makes me wonder what can be done with a pencil when you know what to do with it!) Great Job
