Nice vector, you recreated the Heaven Smiles' viciousness and the game's style very well.
There just aren't decent K7 fanarts...

Killer7 is indeed awesome!
I played it a bit last night, and I had a lot of fun. Of course I've yet to completely unravel K7's full meaning.

You're quite welcome.
If you make anything else Killer7 or Grasshopper manufacture related, feel free to let me know so I can check it out.

The ending of Killer7 and it's meaning has me pretty stumped as well. I haven't really played any other Grasshopper games, I have been wanting to play No More Heroes, but I don't own a Wii.
I did however make another Killer7 project. I will upload it sometime tomorrow.

I've got a bit of it deciphered, but I'm not even sure if I've got that right.
Topdrunktree has some pretty good ideas about how things fit together... though I don't know if I can direct link you to any of his comments without getting into trouble seeing as his site isn't dA 'safe'. It's a touch NSFW.
If you'd like me to give you a few links to some of his comments, send me a note and I'll find a few good ones for you!

Cool beans! I can't wait to see it! I'll go ahead and watch you so I don't miss out on it.

I have checked online for different answers, the best I found was Garcian didn't know he killed them until he re-awoke as Emir, and the only reason they were there is because he wanted them to be. He was probably so powerful that he could use his mind to manifest his memories of the Killer7 in the real world. Which might also explain why he could resurrect each of them.
I don't know just a thought.

Well... I was going to say something smart in regards to your comment, but I went searching for a couple of comments and found some Japanese K7 fanart instead.
:C Now I'm just brain-dead. [link] Should be pretty work safe, BTW.

That's pretty much what I was thinking by the way, though I have a bit more of a theory about that... which of course I can't seem to think of right now. Dummy brain of mine!

I was thinking about the game one day and I came up with my own idea of the Killer7. If you care to hear it I'll tell you about it, I mean it's not really solid, and there is a lot of flaws in my theory but I think it could be plausible.

Go ahead and tell me! I'm always happy to listen to theories.
TL;DR me to death, there's no such thing as too much text, especially when it comes to Killer7!

OK, Well here goes. I think maybe that the war between Harman and Kun has went on for thousands of years. I believe that they are both really powerful deities that can never actually die. However I don't think that they can manifest themselves in the real world with out a host which in this case was Garcian, I think that Harman was kinda like the angel on his shoulder whereas Kun was the Devil. Harman knew he couldn't beat Kun alone so he created the Killer7, I think Harman chose each member and they were told to go to the hotel, because if you read the history of the each member they seemed to live ordinary lives before they mysteriously "vanished". I believe however that they were murdered by Garcian from the order of Harman, because this particular scene of the game seemed like a flashback rather then happening in real time. I found it odd that the members really didn't know how to defend themselves or ran to other members for help. This is because I think the Killer7 didn't even know each other at the time, they were just regular people who had no idea what was going on. So I think Harman had each of them murdered so he could use Garcian to resurrect them. and he gave each of them his own last name as his team of assassins the Killer7, this is why he can control them at will and change between assassins at any given moment. They each have their own personalities and thoughts but they answer to Harman. However when Garcian re awoke as Emir he saw that Harman and Kun were using him for their own means, he become angry and "killed" them both, however the really didn't die because they are immortal which is why their appearance seemed similar to the ghost characters, when he shot them to death.
Then he finally got rid of Kun when he killed him on the very last level. Now that all these "personas" were out of his mind Emir was finally his own person. However at the very end of the game, some 100 years later Harman and Kun are at it again, which proves Emir didn't really kill them. I imagine that they have found a new host, where Harman and his team of assassins can once again wage their eternal war against Kun Lan and his army of Heaven Smiles.

P: That is indeed an interesting theory! Thanks for sharing it.
It makes me want to read HiK7 more, and finish up my own theory. And to think that I wanted to take a break from it a few days ago.
*sigh* It has been a bit mentally taxing though, I'll admit that much!

BTW, I think I read somewhere that Dan was already a member of the Smith syndicate before the Union hotel incident. Though I don't remember the exact link.

COMCAP In reply to Bubby-Bobble [2009-07-13 06:21:30 +0000 UTC]

Hmm.... If Dan was already a member then why would Garcian off him? Well like I said my theory has its faults, Anyway thanks for reading it (as I know it was a lot to read)
In the meantime I would like to hear your idea when you finish it. By the way when you said you want to read HiK7, what exactly were you referring to. Is there some kind of official guide to K7 or something?

Bubby-Bobble In reply to COMCAP [2009-07-13 06:51:58 +0000 UTC]

I have to polish up my theory before I can answer that. I still don't understand everything... and I've been working on it for a LOONNGGG time! I'll probably post my theory in a journal when I'm done with it.
I'll tell you when I'm done writing it.

It's a Japanese book that explains in detail what Goichi Suda wanted to include in Killer7. He wasn't able to include everything that he wanted to for various reasons. Time being one of them.

Neat! I read HiK7, It gave me a lot of insight into the game, everything I thought of came from just playing the game. Hand in Killer7 really cleared up a lot of things that were not even in the game. BTW those pix are sweet! I like how it shows the character models of everyone who showed up in the game. That portrait of Curtis Blackburn is crazy it looks like it shows what he would like if he was an actual person.

I was checking out your gallery and I must say that is a SWEET Krystal drawing from Star Fox: Adventures. I thought that game was pretty cool, you even got to play as Krystal for like all of two minutes then she was like captured and never seen again until like the very end cinematic. I was like "Awww.... That sucks
Awesome job on the Deviation though!
